INT. SAKUSA'S APARTMENT — NIGHT

SAKUSA's apartment takes KOYAMA by surprise. The warmth it radiated wasn't asphyxiating, rather, it was cozy. The walls were painted a warm caramel, and most of the furniture was made of sugar pine wood.

The living room consisted of a beige sectional couch, a soft carpet lay beneath, and in the middle, a coffee table with a scented candle and a peculiar glass container with matches.

The TV was, to no surprise, a flat screen on a wall mount. The TV remotes, gaming controllers, and a gaming console, sat beneath in a TV stand.

KOYAMA had one thought: don't break anything.

SAKUSA
Follow me.

KOYAMA
(Surprised)
O-okay.

SAKUSA
School starts
tomorrow.

KOYAMA
Oh, yeah,
it does.

KOYAMA
Would it be a bother
if you gave me a ride?
I don't really like taking
the bus.

SAKUSA
I personally don't
like public transportation
myself. I guess I'd
have no issue with it.
As long as you don't eat
in my car.

KOYAMA
Ah, understood.

SAKUSA
Here, this is your room.

KOYAMA
(Excited)
What? Seriously?
It's so pretty, OH MY GOSH,
IT HAS A NICE WINDOW.

SAKUSA
(Perplexed)
A window makes
you that happy?

KOYAMA
I love sunsets,
that's why.

KOYAMA
My brother and I
had our after school
activities, then cram school,
and when we were done, we'd walk
home. At that time, it
was always sunset.

SAKUSA
You guys are close
in age?

KOYAMA
He's my twin brother.

SAKUSA
(Deadpans).

KOYAMA
(Frowns).
Why the long face,
Sakusa-San?

SAKUSA
I have my fair
share of experiences
with twins.

KOYAMA
I won't ask what
experiences you imply.

SAKUSA
(Shakes his head).
Miya.

KOYAMA
Oh! The annoying
meme guy.

SAKUSA
If he heard you,
he'd be devastated.
That'd be funny to
see, actually. He'd
probably whine about
it for days.

KOYAMA
He sounds, interesting.
(turns her mouth into a
straight line).

SAKUSA
More like a toddler.

KOYAMA
(Laughs).
You're brutally
honest.

SAKUSA
You'll have to
get used to it.

KOYAMA
I already find it
endearing, don't worry.
They say honesty is the best
policy, right?
(Grins).

SAKUSA
(Flustered and
surprised)
Sure... anyway, I'll
leave you to it
(Points to Koyama's
suitcases).

SAKUSA
Goodnight.

KOYAMA
Goodnight.

KOYAMA pulls on her suitcases, and drops her backpack onto the bed. Rolling her shoulders back, and then forward, KOYAMA feels relieved. Opening one of the suitcases, KOYAMA searches for her avocado themed pajamas.

KOYAMA
Eh, I'll just pick out
an outfit for tomorrow and
start unpacking when I get
out of school.

KOYAMA
(Blushes).
I'm so nervous.

INT. KITCHEN — MORNING

KOYAMA watched SAKUSA with a bit of shame in her stance. Playing with her hands, KOYAMA tried not to think of her current situation, but it was hard to ignore.

SAKUSA
So, you don't know
how to cook, and you
were planning to starve?

SAKUSA
Be glad your sister
sent me a text this
morning or I wouldn't
have cared.

KOYAMA
(Perks up).
And why would you
care anyway?
It's not like my
sister can come
over here and
see if you're
doing something for
me or not.

KOYAMA
You could have,
like you said,
let me starve.

SAKUSA
(His shoulders
tense).

KOYAMA
Seriously,
you're so mysterious.
(Sighs).

SAKUSA
(Hands Koyama a
plate of pancakes).
Here, top them with
anything you want.

KOYAMA
Heh, top them.

SAKUSA
And seriously,
you're a pervert.

KOYAMA
(flushes bright red).
I didn't think you
heard that.
