INT. SAKUSA HOUSEHOLD — NIGHT

INT. SAKUSA'S OLD BEDROOM — NIGHT

SAKUSA stared at the unopened letters on his desk. Although he was very reserved during high school, he still had a few secret admirers throughout his attendance to Itachiyama Institute.

Now, these letters weren't exactly from secret admirers, they seemed to be fairly recent fan mail. SAKUSA wondered how his fans got his family's address. The thought honestly creeped him out.

I have to take care of that, he thought.

On the phone, SAKUSA greeted KOMORI.

KOMORI
So, you're staying
over at your parents'
tonight?

SAKUSA
Yeah.

SAKUSA
my parents
insisted.

KOMORI
Ah, okay.

SAKUSA
Everything alright
on your end?

KOMORI
Same old same old.
My mother's stressing
everyone out again.
It feels like if I
breathe wrong, I'll
get my ass beat.

SAKUSA
(Deadpans).
What happened?

KOMORI
(Sighs).
Reishi.
She happened.

SAKUSA
(Amused)
What did she
do this time?

KOMORI
She started a fight
with mom because
Hayami doesn't want
to take responsibility
of her chores, and then
Reishi ends up doing
everything Hayami
doesn't do.

KOMORI
Like, I get where she's
coming from, but now
mom's in a bad mood and
she ends up getting mad
at me too.

KOMORI
(Distressed)
I didn't even
do anything!

SAKUSA
Just go and help
your sister.

KOMORI
(Surprised)
Actually, you're right.
Now I sound like a jerk
don't I? (Laughs). I'll
see you tomorrow Sakusa.

SAKUSA
Night.

KOMORI
Night.

The call ended, and SAKUSA plopped down on his bed. The raven ruffled his hair and sighed as he thought of his brunette roommate. He'd sent her a text earlier, letting her know that he wouldn't be back for the night, but he had yet to receive a reply. SAKUSA had never felt this anxious over someone before, and the new experience of emotions made him feel, deep down, a bit awkward.

A gentle knock at the door brought SAKUSA out of his thoughts, but the raven didn't bother to stand up or acknowledge the intrusion of his older sister.

S. MOMOKO
Hey there Omi,
you look a bit lost
in thought, you good?

SAKUSA
I'm good.

S. MOMOKO
(Sighs).
I know that you usually
get annoyed with me when
I enter your room, so, the
fact that you haven't kicked
me out yet is a sign that
something's definitely off.

MOMOKO walked toward SAKUSA's bed and sat at the foot of it. SAKUSA moved his leg closer to himself, thus allowing his sister more space to make herself comfortable.

S. MOMOKO
Come on, you can
tell me anything,
and you know that
I won't tell anyone.

SAKUSA knew that she wasn't lying, after all, MOMOKO was the only one who had never made a big deal out of everything he did or didn't do.

SAKUSA
Do you remember
Sato from second
year of high school?

S. MOMOKO
Oh my god! Yes I
do! You had such
a huge crush on her.

SAKUSA
(Rolls his eyes).
Yeah, her.

SAKUSA
she found out and
then made fun of
me for liking her in a
class group chat.

S. MOMOKO
(Angry)
You didn't tell me
that! I would've beat
her ass!

SAKUSA
That's exactly
why I didn't
say anything.

S. MOMOKO
Alright, so what's that
got to do with anything?

SAKUSA
Then, I met
Koyama Cho.

SAKUSA
I liked her,
but she liked
Iizuna-San and
I gave up.

S. MOMOKO
Yeah...you haven't been
the luckiest in romance.

SAKUSA
Exactly!

SAKUSA
Now that I like Koyama-San,
the thought of getting
rejected by her unnerves me.

SAKUSA
(Annoyed)
I'm currently waiting
like an idiot for a
text back from her.

S. MOMOKO
(Grins).
Little bro, that's
what I call love.

SAKUSA
(Sighs).

S. MOMOKO
Don't wait for her
to walk out of your
life. As some would
say, "cease the moment",
and you'll succeed.

S. MOMOKO
Plus, I have a gut feeling
that things will be different
this time.

SAKUSA
Thank you.

S. MOMOKO
(Teasing)
Hug?

SAKUSA
No.

S. MOMOKO
Aww...okay.
(Laughs).
