INT. KOREAN RESTAURANT — MID AFTERNOON (2:15 PM)

SAKUSA and KOYAMA entered the crowded Korean Restaurant. The restaurant closed at 3 so it came to no surprise that people were flooding in at this hour. SAKUSA was definitely not fond of the situation, but he knew that changing locations would be quite inconsiderate of him, especially because KOYAMA had specified that she was really craving Korean food.

KOYAMA felt a bit anxious since she could feel SAKUSA's sour mood radiating off of him. Nonetheless, KOYAMA found it cute that he was holding onto the strap of her bag so they wouldn't get separated.

As a waitress led them to a table, KOYAMA almost ran into a stranger that abruptly stood up from their seat, almost because SAKUSA's quick reflexes kicked in. The raven grabbed her shoulders and gently led her footsteps so that she'd move to his left.

SAKUSA glared at the stranger, irked by the thought of their irresponsible miscalculation of space between them and his date. The stranger visibly flinched and they bowed their head slightly before scurrying away.

KOYAMA
Thank you for
that Sakusa.

SAKUSA
No problem.

The waitress stopped in front of a table perfect for two and placed down the menus in front of them as they sat across from each other. The waitress asked what they wanted for drinks. SAKUSA and KOYAMA agreed on water as their choice of beverage.

WAITRESS
Alright, I'll be
back with your
drinks and your
bowls of plain
white rice.

KOYAMA
Thank you!

Once the waitress was out of earshot, SAKUSA sighed with disdain.

SAKUSA
I forgot my hand
sanitizer in the car.

KOYAMA
Oh, don't worry,
I have my own!

It was a simple statement, really, but to SAKUSA's ears, KOYAMA's words were like a message sent from the heavens.

SAKUSA
Would you mind
if I use it for
my hands, cleaning the
menus, and wiping the
table?

KOYAMA
(Surprised)
Oh, um, no,
go ahead.

KOYAMA
Here you go.

SAKUSA
Thanks.

KOYAMA observed SAKUSA as he frantically cleaned his menu and then the table. The sleeves of his hoodie slid down to his elbows, and this allowed KOYAMA to see his biceps flexing. SAKUSA was wearing a black turtleneck, with short sleeves. The shirt was tight, tighter than plastic wrap, she dared to think.

At this moment, KOYAMA took the liberty of checking SAKUSA out. He had broad shoulders, and a small waist, but to top it all off, he had more thighs than anything else. KOYAMA knew this because SAKUSA, as ATSUMU once said: "doesn't skip leg day".

SAKUSA
What are you
doing?

KOYAMA
(Raises both of
her eyebrows).

KOYAMA
(Shy)

SAKUSA
(Dumbfounded).

SAKUSA

compare to mine.

KOYAMA
(Laughs).

SAKUSA

KOYAMA
(crying inside).
I SAID THAT
OUT LOUD?

KOYAMA
(Shrugs).
Well, I wasn't
lying. Ha.ha.ha.

SAKUSA
Thanks...

A beat of silence passed by them.

KOYAMA
Sakusa, I want to get
to know you better.

KOYAMA
I don't even know your
favorite color, and as
basic as the question
may be, it's still something
that I want to remember.

KOYAMA
It is your color,
and whenever
I'll see it,
I'll think of you.

KOYAMA
I want to know if you
have any hobbies outside
of volleyball.

KOYAMA
I want to know if I'm
in your dreams, just
as you are in mine.

KOYAMA
I was happy with my solitude
before you came into my life,
but now, that solitude makes
me feel unsatisfied, and I want
to know, if you feel that way
too.

KOYAMA imagined herself saying all these things, and more, but alas, she didn't say these things out loud, and her mental picture of confidence remained buried in her heart.

SAKUSA
(Taps Koyama's hand).
Koyama.

KOYAMA
Mm?

SAKUSA
You spaced out,
what are you going
to order?

KOYAMA
I'll get Japchae.

SAKUSA
I'll order
that too.
Anything else?

KOYAMA
Let's share Bossam.
(*boiled pork wraps).

KOYAMA

order Mandu?

SAKUSA
(Amused)
