FRIENDS | ACT XVI

INT. PANCAKE FOOD BAR — LATE AFTERNOON

The food bar consisted of multiple pancakes, some traditional, others with chocolate, and the occasional red velvet. Multiple syrups, multiple fruit toppings, and the side dishes which were either veggie based or meat based.

KOYAMA's mouth watered at the sight.

The brunette lifted her gaze when she felt a stare, and she wasn't wrong when she caught SAKUSA already staring at her. KOYAMA expected the raven to look away, but he didn't, and that made her grow quite flustered.

Forced to look away, KOYAMA declared war in her head. She wouldn't lose a staring contest against him again.

OSAMU
So, yer Sakusa's
roommate?

KOYAMA
Yes.
(Smiles).

OSAMU
(Hums).
Let's hope ya
last longer than
the other tenants.

KOYAMA
Everyone makes Sakusa-San
sound like an extremely bad
guy. (Chuckles nervously).

OSAMU
Nah, he isn't.
He's just very
blunt and people
that aren't used t'a
it think that he hates
their guts, so, they always
ended up movin' out as soon
as they had moved in.

KOYAMA
Too bad for them,
but good for me,
because I have a
place to stay.

OSAMU
When ya look at it that
way, yer right.
(Nods in agreement).

KOYAMA
Hey Osamu-San,
don't say anything to
Atsumu-San, but I think
I have a favorite.
(Winks).

ATSUMU
(Annoyed)
I heard you.

KOYAMA
(Amused)
That's the point.

SAKUSA
(Teasing)
She got you there
Captain Corn Hairs.

OSAMU
(Bursts out laughing).
CAPTAIN CORN HAIRS?!
(Hits Atsumu's back)
MAN YER DEAD.

ATSUMU
(Gasps).
GAH, 'SAMU
YER SUPPOSED T'A
STOP DOIN' THAT!

ATSUMU
(Excited)
Well if it isn't
my favorite shorty!

???
(Sighs).

???
(Curious)
Ah, you must be
Omi-San's roommate!

KOYAMA
(Has an awed expression)
My name is Koyama Tsuru,
it's nice to make your
acquaintance.

???
(Takes Koyama's hands).
It's nice to meet you
Koyama-San! My name's
Hinata Shoyo! (Grins).

KOYAMA
(Tears up).

HINATA
Whoa, are you okay?

KOYAMA
It's like I've been
staring into the sun
for too long.

ATSUMU
(Murmurs).
Aaaaaand, we
lost her.

KOYAMA
Please be my friend.

HINATA
(Looks up at Koyama
with excitement).
Sure?

KOYAMA's smile was brighter than the moon and her dark brown eyes twinkled like stars.

The young adults around her were mesmerized by her overjoyed expression.

HINATA pulled KOYAMA toward the table where the rest of his friends were waiting for them.

The ginger of light caramel brown eyes offered KOYAMA a seat beside him, and the brunette happily accepted the invitation. Bowing her head, KOYAMA greeted everyone at the table.

(Upset)

you didn't do her

(Excited)

(Grins).

KOYAMA
(Blushes).
Koyama Tsuru.

KOYAMA
(Frets with her
hands underneath
the table).

KOYAMA
(grateful)
Sure, Yukie-Chan.

(Irked)
You're always hogging

BOKUTO
Ah, yeah, I'm Bokuto
Kotarou. This is
Akaaaashi!

KOYAMA
(Confused)
Akaaaashi?

AKAASHI
He can't pronounce
my name correctly,
It's actually Akaashi,
Akaashi Keiji.

KOYAMA
(Blinks).
Nice.

KOYAMA thought, James Bond moment.

AKAASHI turned to BOKUTO and they continued a conversation with SHIROFUKU.

KOYAMA turned to the female sitting to her right.

The brunette was happy to grow comfortable with YACHI HITOKA, a short haired blonde girl with warm brown eyes and a nervous smile. KOYAMA thought she was endearing. 

YACHI introduced her to her boyfriend, YAMAGUCHI TADASHI, and KOYAMA quickly made his acquaintance by talking about their shared interest in gardening.

The recently introduced duo laughed as YAMAGUCHI revealed that YACHI was terrible at taking care of plants.

Across from YAMAGUCHI, a blond haired male with glasses teased YACHI by calling her a "professional plant exterminator".

YAMAGUCHI sheepishly introduced the taller male as his best friend, TSUKISHIMA KEI.
