INT. SAKUSA — KOYAMA APARTMENT — MID-AFTERNOON

After last night, KOYAMA had managed to avoid her roommate in the morning, and in the afternoon during lunch time and study hall. KOYAMA was off the hook when she arrived home after her last lecture of the day, since SAKUSA had volleyball practice that afternoon. Yet, the brunette did not count with the fact that SAKUSA would come back early, as volleyball practice would be cut short to let the players rest for an upcoming match.

INT. KITCHEN — MID-AFTERNOON

With that being said, it comes to no surprise that SAKUSA caught KOYAMA off guard, in the kitchen, with a croissant half in her mouth and half outside of her mouth.

The sight was hilarious to SAKUSA, and the raven couldn't help but laugh. KOYAMA choked on her croissant, and the raven responded immediately by running to her side and patting her back repeatedly.

CUT TO:

INT. DINNER TABLE — MID-AFTERNOON

KOYAMA thanked SAKUSA as he passed by and handed her a glass of water. The raven sat down across from her, and crossed his arms as he leaned back in his chair and observed her with his usual poker face.

SAKUSA
Are you feeling alright
now Koyama-San?

KOYAMA
(Shyly nods
her head).

SAKUSA
Can we... continue
yesterday's conversation?

KOYAMA
(Blushes).
Oh God, please forget
that.
I don't want to relive
the embarrassment.

SAKUSA
We live together. I
need to understand what's
on your mind. Remember, your
mood can and will affect me.

SAKUSA
I'm not the best with
words, but I'll listen.

SAKUSA
Hinata...uh...told me you're
having a hard time because
we don't communicate.
I (guilty) I can't really talk
to people...even now,
It's hard to speak. (Sighs).

SAKUSA
But I can listen to your
concerns. That way, I can
help if it's possible for
me to do that.

KOYAMA
I just feel bad.
My concerns about you are
small, really, like
you waking up early, or
showering and barely leaving
me any hot water, or the fact
that on game nights that stupid
Terushima comes over as well
and annoys the hell out of me.

KOYAMA
Listening to what you said
yesterday, I choked up because,
I know you're right Sakusa-San.

KOYAMA
(Rubs the back of
her neck).
The one with more
issues here isn't you,
it's me.

SAKUSA
Sorry about Terushima.
I wasn't aware that he
has been bothering you.
I'll keep him out of the
apartment.

KOYAMA
(Worried)
Wait, you don't have
to do that. What if—

SAKUSA
I don't care if he gets
angry. If he makes you
uncomfortable, then there's
no negotiation. You won't
see him around anymore.

SAKUSA
If I want you to make
changes, then I must
make changes as well.

SAKUSA
Isn't that reasonable?

KOYAMA
(Holding back tears).
(soft spoken)
Sakusa-San...

KOYAMA
(Hugs herself).
I feel so embarrassed
opening up to you like
this, but, the reason why
I struggle so much with
chores is...because
I was reminded
of my mom.

KOYAMA looked up at SAKUSA for a sign of reassurance, the raven nodded, encouraging her to continue speaking.

KOYAMA
She'd take out her anger
on me by making me do
everyone's chores. I guess
I've grown to hate chores so
much that every time I have
to do them, I avoid it as much
as possible, and then I grow
anxious and irrationally angry.

KOYAMA
Even cooking.
I know, my sister
probably said I hate
cooking, but truth is,
I haven't tried it again
for fear of reliving
certain memories.

KOYAMA
Maybe my irritation with
you goes further than all
of this.

KOYAMA
(Hides her face in
her arms).

KOYAMA
(Muffled)
Maybe I hate you for
being the person I
wish I was.
