INT. SAKUSA — KOYAMA APARTMENT — MID AFTERNOON

KOYAMA took off her sandals and slipped into her cute bunny themed house slippers. The girl grinned from ear to ear as she smelled a sweet scent in the air.

KOYAMA
I'm home!

SAKUSA walked out from the kitchen, with a curious look on his face.

SAKUSA
Welcome home.

SAKUSA
Did something
good happen?

KOYAMA
Uh, first, where
do I leave your
clothes? I'm not
too sure of invading
your personal space so,
I can just leave it
on the couch?

SAKUSA
(Hesitant)
just, leave it on
my bed.

SAKUSA
And...come here...

KOYAMA
Mm?

SAKUSA
Put your hands out.

KOYAMA
Uh...

SAKUSA
(Amused)
put the laundry
basket down, please
Koyama-San.

KOYAMA
Riiiiight.

SAKUSA
There, hand sanitizer.
Actually, you should
carry your own hand
sanitizer.

KOYAMA
This is admirable
Sakusa-San, but you
shouldn't be putting
on too much hand
sanitizer.

KOYAMA
I'm worried for your
hands' good bacteria
and the moisture of your
hands! That's really
important!

KOYAMA
I can lend you some
of my own Cucumber
LineVase body cream.

SAKUSA
(Worried)
Are you indirectly
saying that my hands
are dry?

KOYAMA
(Flustered)
No no!

KOYAMA
(Pauses).
Now that I think
about it, your hands
are smoother than mine.

SAKUSA
Are you sure about
that? because I remember,
your hands are way softer
than mine, but they're
unusually cold.

KOYAMA
(Puts hand out).
My hand's not
cold today.

SAKUSA
(Looks at her hand).
Alright.

KOYAMA
Do you...

SAKUSA
No thanks.
I'll keep
my hands to
myself.

KOYAMA
So, are you the kind
of guy that usually likes
touching others when you
feel like it, but you don't
like others touching you
at all when they feel
like it?

SAKUSA
(deadpans).
I guess.

KOYAMA
(high-pitched)
Good to know,
good to know.

SAKUSA
Are you disappointed?

KOYAMA
Pfft, no, why
would I be? Pfft.

SAKUSA
(Raises an eyebrow).
Aren't you being
awfully obvious
these days?

KOYAMA
(Picks up the laundry
basket and starts walking
away).
Let me just get this out of
the way, I'll be right back!

SAKUSA
(Whispers)
She likes me right?
but then again, if I
ask her, and she denies
it, I'll look stupid.
Maybe I'm overthinking
things. That's it.

After fifteen minutes or so, KOYAMA walked out of SAKUSA's room and into her room to drop off her own clothes.

SAKUSA observed the brunette as she nervously trudged her way over toward the kitchen table and struggled to pull out a chair.

SAKUSA
You didn't tell
me what happened
at the coin laundry.

KOYAMA
(Excited)
OH! I almost forgot!

SAKUSA's shoulders relax at the sight of KOYAMA's own relaxed demeanor. Her eyes lit up, and her gentle smile was enough to make SAKUSA feel light headed. The wavy haired male was guilty of admitting to himself that he could stare at her all day and possibly forget how to breathe in the process.

KOYAMA
I was just minding my
business, you know, the
usual. When I heard tiny
little footsteps walking
in my direction. Of course,
I had to look, and I saw the
cutest little girl I've ever
seen in my entire life.

KOYAMA
Like, she had this
cute blue dress with
elephants on it, and
she had pigtails
Sakusa-San!

KOYAMA
SMALL PIGTAILS!
WITH SMALL BOWS!

KOYAMA
And she had the
prettiest hazel eyes
I'd ever seen in my
life. I almost cried.

KOYAMA
I'd want a kid like her,
but maybe I'm biased
because she stopped to
stare at me with those
pretty eyes, and she said:
"Onee-Chan is really pretty!"

KOYAMA
Can you believe it?!
She called me pretty!

KOYAMA
They do say that kids
don't lie so I'm going
to remember this for the
rest of my life.

SAKUSA's heart sank. This new emotion, he didn't have a name for, made him feel rapt, but at the same time, it held a bittersweet undertone of misery.

SAKUSA
(Sighs).
She's got a
good eye.
