FRIENDS | ACT XV

INT. PANCAKE FOOD BAR - NIGHT

Zooming into the scene, a group of college students sit at an accommodated set of tables for 12 people. Of those, only three seats remain empty.

The seat to HINATA's right, and the last two seats next to TSUKISHIMA's right.

KOYAMA momentarily glanced at the other table, SAKUSA sat in front of ATSUMU, and beside ATSUMU, sat OSAMU. That's where the empty seat remained, between OSAMU and HINATA. Across from the empty seat, sat SHIROFUKU.

KOYAMA observed the unfamiliar copper haired male talking animatedly with SAKUSA.

The brunette found the copper haired male's eyebrows to be significantly small and bushy, but well fitting with his monolid shaped eyes. The male had a flawless jawline, and overall, a killer smile. Unlike his dark haired counterpart, he had straight hair, and dark blue eyes.

Said male that KOYAMA was admiring, turned to look at her with an initial expression of surprise, but soon relaxed his expression into a charming smile. The copper haired male waved, and KOYAMA waved in acknowledgement.

KOYAMA tuned back into the conversation between YACHI, YAMAGUCHI, and TSUKISHIMA.

The brunette was surprised to see that TSUKISHIMA had his eye on her.

TSUKISHIMA
(Puzzled)
Have you visited
Tokyo before?

KOYAMA
(Baffled)
Nope, this is my first
time in the big city.

TSUKISHIMA
I swear I've seen your
face before.
(Pensive expression).

KOYAMA
(Nervous)
Really?

TSUKISHIMA
(Expression of realization)
Oh, I know, (smirks), you're
Kuroo's friend, aren't you?

KOYAMA
(Shouts)
YOU KNOW?!

Everyone turned to look at the brunette, with worried expressions; Except SAKUSA who raised an eyebrow in response to the commotion, and TSUKISHIMA who observed her with a neutral and almost calculating expression.

KOYAMA
(Bashful)
Sorry everyone!
(Bows).

Everyone returned to their conversations, but this time, SAKUSA kept an eye on KOYAMA without her taking notice of him doing so.

TSUKISHIMA
To satiate your
curiosity, I do.

KOYAMA
(Frowns while furrowing
her eyebrows in utter
confusion).

YAMAGUCHI
Tsuki...you're obviously
making Koyama-San feel
uncomfortable with whatever
this topic of conversation is
about, so, could you drop it?

TSUKISHIMA
I wasn't going to say
more than that anyway,
but, sure.

YACHI
How come Kuroo
and Kenma are not
here yet?

TSUKISHIMA
Ah, they're arriving
separately.

YACHI
(Worried)
Why's that?

TSUKISHIMA
You know, relationships
are fragile things.
They're having a bit
of a rough patch, but
I'm sure they'll be
fine.

TSUKISHIMA
Right, Koyama-San?

KOYAMA
(Eyes widen).

KOYAMA
(Forces a smile).
Of course.

KOYAMA
Those two have nothing
to worry about.

YACHI
Oh, Koyama-San,
you know Kuroo
and Kenma?

TSUKISHIMA
Sure she does.

KOYAMA
(Widens her smile
a bit more).
Y-yep.

YACHI
(Nervous)
Hahaha, well,
you wouldn't happen
to know Kageyama
as well?

KOYAMA
(Smiles).
Nope.

EXT. FRONT STEPS OF THE PANCAKE FOOD BAR - NIGHT

KUROO
Kageyama!

KAGEYAMA
(Awkward)
Hi...

KUROO
Just as dry as
always I see.

KENMA
leave him
alone Kuro.

KUROO
Wouldn't want to get
on Hinata's case.
I get it.

KAGEYAMA
(Flustered)
So, are you two
going in...or?

KUROO
(Sweat drop).

KUROO
(Opens the door
for Kageyama and
Kenma).

INT. PANCAKE FOOD BAR — NIGHT

HINATA
Kenma!

KENMA
(Nods with a small
smile on display).

HINATA
Kageyama, I saved
you a seat!
(Pats the spot
beside him).

KUROO
What am I?

KENMA
Shut up Kuro.

KUROO
(Pouts).

TSUKISHIMA
Kuroo-Senpai,
you guys are sitting
over here.

KUROO
(Surprised)
Oh, thanks.

KENMA
Oh, Koyama-San,
it's nice to see
you again.

KOYAMA
(Laughs)
Really? Well, I'm
happy to see you
as well Kenma-San.

KUROO
(Awkward)
Koyama.

KOYAMA
(Nods).
Kuroo.

KUROO
Since we're all here
now, I need to know,
who's inviting?
(Raises an eyebrow).

ATSUMU
Oh, I am, since
this was my idea
anyway.

Everyone made comments of gratitude and excitement as they finally stood up to get whatever they desired from the pancake bar.
