What was he to do? He apologized and that should have proven to Sakura that he's changed.

Sasuke made his way back to his compound and towards the Uchiha training field. He needed to blow off some steam.

He grabbed shuriken from his hip pouch and threw them at multiple targets.

Why is she being difficult? She used to fangirl over him when they were younger, so his thoughts, or lack thereof, should be no surprise to her.

Sasuke sighed to himself as he removed the shuriken from their targets, then walked over to the end of the lonely dock by the Uchiha lake, and sat down, letting his legs dangle from the edge.

Sakura has changed a lot over the years, so maybe he needs to change how he approaches her. Her eyes don't have the same sparkle when she looks at him like they use to. Actions seem to speak louder than words with her now, so maybe he needs to not only apologize but show her how sorry he is?

That works for him because he was never good with words. He doubts she'll accept flowers or a date though.

Maybe he can spar with her and let her get a few good hits in. She's always enjoyed pummeling Naruto.

Or maybe he should ask how Naruto would apologize.

No, that's a bad idea. Naruto would tell him to buy her some ramen or some shoes.

Sasuke huffed in frustration and laid back on the dock, closing his eyes.

He normally would never put this much thought into apologizing to someone but Sakura isn't just anyone. She's supposed to be his future wife and mother to his children. And him leaving after their first time together probably made her feel abandoned.

Sasuke's mouth went dry. That's the problem. She thinks he's going to abandon her. She didn't understand that after they slept together, he was coming back.

Just for a few months.

She's being ridiculous!

So how does he show her that he's sorry and won't abandon her?

A bright light turned on in his head suddenly and he shot up from the dock.

Making his way back towards his apartment, he went inside to take a shower, and change his clothes.

It was getting late in the day and he needed to make a stop before he went to Sakuras. The shop he had in mind should still be open for another hour, so he had time to eat before he made his purchase.

After he finished eating and shopping, he hastily ran to Sakuras. He knew in his gut she would be surprised and would have to accept his apology this time.

Glancing towards her window, he noticed her light was still on in her apartment, so luck must have been on his side.

He walked up to her door, straighten his shirt, knocked a few times, and waited for the door to open.

As the door was swinging open, Sasuke got down on one knee and held out the open ring box to show Sakura.

"Sakura, will you......" He started to say but it was then he realized that it wasn't Sakura opening the door but Kakashi.

"Sasuke, we need to talk," Kakashi stated, pinching between his eyebrows.
