Insecurities (Irene) [E]

"Babe! I am going!!" Y/N shouted from the front door. She was wearing her heels as she turned around to be greeted by her girlfriend with an apron around her waist as she stared at her lovingly.

Y/N smiled as she stood closer towards her and said, "I'm going, okay? Take care of yourself." She stepped forward and sweetly kissed her girlfriend's forehead. As she was about to turn her girlfriend tugged on her wrist. She looked down at her wrist and then above.

"What happened, Irene?" Y/N asked. Irene just smiled as she carefully tugged on Y/N's blazer lapel to pull her closer. She carefully looked into her eyes as she adjusted her collar, "You're going too soon. Isn't it?" Y/N chuckled at her cuteness as she shook her head, "Mhmm... I know but today an important client is there to have their final hearing of their case and I am their one and only precious lawyer. So, I have to go and adjust everything."

Irene looked at her with a warm smile as she leaned in and pressed a sweet, long kiss on her lips. Y/N's breath hitched at this as she slowly returned the kiss.

"What was that for?" Y/N asked as she carefully tucked a strand of hair behind Irene's ear. She just smiled and said, "Nothing... I just wanna show more love to you." Y/N held her shoulder as she said, "Irene... you know, I don't wanna push you. If you want to do it then do it with your will. I have promised you--"

"--that you'll not kiss me or touch me unless I initiate it first. Yes, I know. And this was my initiation. You don't have to worry, Y/N..." Irene completed her sentence as she noticed Y/N's subtle blush on her cheeks and how her eyes twinkled in the sunlight. There was a certain set of butterflies in Y/N's stomach as she felt happy about Irene slowly showing her affection lately.

"Now... it's gonna be a great morning and I'll win the case for sure!" Y/n cheered herself up as Irene laughed at her cuteness. She turned her around and pushed her out of the door, "Go! Or you'll be late!"

After waving goodbye, Y/N drove her car away from their house's front porch as Irene watched the car disappear from her sight.

Irene came in as she safely locked the front door behind her and went to the kitchen. removing her apron, she stretched herself as she went to Y/N's and her room and brought her laptop. Settling it on the dining table, she got herself her books and attended the online classes and a few videos for her studies. Yes, she is studying to become a news anchor which has been her dream since she was a kid. But, she couldn't complete her studies as she has to drop out for one year.

While studying she noticed the date on her laptop as she paused the video and stared at the date.

15 April, 20xx

Same date but one year ago, Irene won her case against her ex-boyfriend, Jinyoung. That year was a difficult one for Irene and Y/N too. Irene won the case with the help of her best friend at that time and her lawyer, too.

[FLASHBACK]

It was a Date rape case against him. Irene and Jinyoung were dating for 5 months but he was a playboy and Irene fell for his charms. He admitted that Irene was a beautiful girl, but he didn't see her as someone he could commit to. Jinyoung was frustrated with Irene because she didn't want to take their relationship to the next level but he had other plans in his mind to get what he wanted.

So, when they were in university he invited her to a party saying it was because he wanted to introduce his lovely girlfriend to his friends. Irene is an innocent one, immediately agreed to his sweet talks and went to the party with him.

Jinyoung's plan was simple. He knew that Irene doesn't drink that much so there was no point in forcing her to have more alcohol. So, instead, he spiked her drink which caused her to feel dizzy and gradually lose consciousness. When Irene was about to fall he carefully picked her up in his arms and took her to a hotel room nearby.
