Happy Family (Irene)

Irene was nervous. More than she was to introduce her new songs in an interview.

Today was the day when she introduced her girlfriend to her beloved members of Red Velvet. The girls knew about their relationship, but Irene wanted Y/N to be ready for what was to come due to her popularity in the K-pop industry.

Media, criticism, unwanted questions, stalkers, and whatnot. You name it.

However, Y/N was more than ready to face all of that. As in her words, she said, "If you're with me, I'll face anything in this world, Irene."

So, to start off, Irene thought that introducing her to her members might be the best option. At least, she wouldn't have to keep her members in the dark anymore. It physically pained her to do so, but it was for everyone's betterment.

"How much time till we reach her apartment, Unnie?" Wendy asked from the passenger seat.

Irene decided to drive them herself to her girlfriend's apartment, not wanting her managers to find out about this yet.

"Just five minutes more. And, please, don't embarrass me in front of her, "Irene said as she looked into the mirror, referring to the younger ones.

"What? Don't look at us like that, Unnie, "Joy said, and Yeri nodded along.

Irene gave them a dubious eyebrow raise as she turned her attention to the road ahead. Steering the wheel to the right, Irene came to park her car in a lot of an expensive-looking apartment building.

The members were in awe as they stepped out, wearing masks and glasses. Irene locked the car as she made her way towards the front gate and the rest of them followed quietly behind.

"She's rich, "Seulgi said, concluding everyone's thought.

"Look at that chandelier! It's beautiful!" Joy exclaimed and took out her phone to take a picture.

"Girls! We don't want attention. Keep it low, "Irene said as the members nodded in understanding.

Walking towards the elevator, Irene pushed floor number 4. The rest of them were talking in hushed and excited voices and Irene stood there, feeling her stomach churning with anxiety.

What if they won't approve of my choice?

Irene thought and bit her lower lip.

The members might've noticed her hesitation because they cleared their throats and said altogether, "Don't worry, Unnie."

Irene looked around and smiled at them as she nodded, saying, "I won't."

The elevator door opened and they all stepped out, following Irene into a highly furnished hallway.

"I have so many questions for her. Look at this carpet beneath, "Yeri said as they all looked down at the blue carpet beneath them.

"Just don't overwhelm her with many questions at a time, "Irene said and everyone replied with a harmonious yea.

Finally, at the end of the hallway, Irene stopped in front of apartment number 15 and rang the doorbell. She turned her head to glance at her members who gave her a bashful smile.

They heard the sound of rushing footsteps and then the unlocking of the door as it flew open. There came Irene's girlfriend into the view.

Wearing an apron and a spatula in her hand.

"Hey, everyone!" Y/N greeted them with a smile and Irene could feel herself melting at that.

Y/N stood aside as Irene ushered the girls inside before entering herself at last. Y/N watched her members gasping and eyeing the interior of her apartment, causing her to stifle a laugh.
