Douxie POV:
The boat rocked ride to side as clear placed her book on the edge of the rail.
"Do you think Merlin's plan will work?"
"I messed up the timelines, we've run out of options = and my choices haven't exactly worked out lately"
"We can't make any more mistakes, we'll have to trust Merlin this time"
"I just hope Jim made it out safe" Claire sighs as the ship turned into a small shallow cave.
"I'm sure he's nestled safely in the boss of friendly trolls"
"Hey Claire!"
Douxie and I turned around to see Laylah.
"Could I borrow your book for a minute?"
Claire nods and throws the book over to her. She sits down and opens it looking for something.
"Ah, If you've learned anything from Morgana it's that shadow magic only leads to pain" Merlin says using his magic to close the book.
"I try to avoid water" Archie said
"Personally, I always pack my swimsuit, extra personally it's actually my birthday suit"
"Ew Steve, way to personal dude" Laylah gags.
"Whoa, it's like a ship grave yard"
"We've arrived" Merlin grunted
"Huh, the lady of the lake is real, I thought she was just a myth"
"Oh no, the lady of the lake is very real, though Merlin's allowed to her till now"
"What about you Lay?"
She shakes her head
"Not even you Lay?" Claire gasps
"Because her power is beyond your comprehension" Merlin butted in
"I was from her waters I helped Arthur first retrieve Excalibur and unit the kingdom"
"Hisirdoux the sword please"
I hand the broken pieces of Excalibur in Merlins hand as we follow him
"Yea, Quest!" Steve repeats with excitement
"Watch the ship, I will return shortly"
"What? We have to wait in the car" Steve complains walking away
"But I thought we were doing this together?" I say looking up at Merlin
"You should be thanking me, I got you out of Camelot, Arthurs unstable and the people are afraid"
"Merlin, I thought your trusted us!" Laylah says taking a step forward.
"More-so me, I've been your partner ever since!"
Laylah was right it wasn't fair
"ughh" Merlin says looking to the side
"We won't sit here without making things right!" Lay and I say together
"AND I WILL NOT LOOSE ANOTHER APPRENTICE!" Merlin shouted. His voice echoed through
Laylah and I take a step back
Merlin's eyes lit up for just a second. He must have realised that he yelled louder then he was supposed to.
But he grunts and turns his back to us.
