Douxie POV:
Arthur, Merlin and I had a plan to go to the trolls and seek help. Most of Camelot's Army had deceased. Claire opens a shadow portal to troll market where we could hear Jim yelling.
I was still holding Laylah's hand. She was shaking a bit. She was scared. She was always so confident and fearless. This wasn't like her. I think it was because of her magic messing up and hearing all these voices.
I shake the thought as we all step out of the shadow portal
"Hey! That's my boyfriend your operating on!" Claire yells as Vendal jumps from his spot
"Oh! Humans! Sound the alarm!"
"Hold! Please, Vendal of Dwoza, I humble myself before you, Camelot needs your help"
He says bowing before Vendal with his sword in hand.
"Gunmar the Black's swarm of Gumm-Gumms are ready to strike. The monsters seek vengeance on both our kind"
"And after all you've done, you expect us Trolls to fight this war for you?" Vendal protested walking back and forth over and over again
"No, not for me; with me, as equals"
"Glorkus me!"
"I vow, if we win this war, we shall live in peace"
"Ha!" Callister scoffs and throws a small rock at one at one of Arthur's knights
"Gumm-Gumms are terrifying warriors while we are but humble gravel miners, how do you expect us to ever defeat Gunmar?" Vendal rolls his eyes
"We will give you a secret weapon" Arthur says calmly
"A weapon?" The trolls question
We try to get a closer look but the soldiers stop us and push us back
"You really think they can work this out?" Jim askes
"They have to, or everyone un Camelot and Dwoza are doomed" I say honestly
"Then there goes saving history. Great" Laylah and Claire say together
"I assure you, all will be fine once I've completed my amulet. So, this is the once and future Trollhunter I've heard of. May I have a word, alone?" Merlin asks looking at Jim up and down.
Laylah and I look at each other. We were both wondering many things
"Um, sure. Be right back"
Claire was waiting for Jim. Archie was with her. Merlin and Jim were someplace else. This was the perfect time to ask Laylah. I've wanted to ask her this ever since I was 14 and she was 12.
She was always supportive. She was kind. She was gentle. She's been with me forever. She was my best friend. But, I wanted to be more then that. I was just hoping she felt the same.
We agreed on everything. We did everything together.
"Laylah?" I ask squeezing her hand
But before I could say anything Jim and Merlin came back.
"Hey, is everything okay?" Claire askes taking his hands
"What are you talking about?"
"Oh um.... Nothing" Jim chuckles
"Just Merlin prepping me for the trip home"
Wait a second, does that mean Merlin has finished the amulet.
