Douxie POV:
I look through the time map as we all get prepared to leave the past. Laylah was right beside me. I was just hoping the magic rap around her head would heal her wound soon.
"Everybody, ready yourselves. We don't have much time. I'll dial us in for when we left" I say turning back around to Jim and Claire.
"But what's going to happen when we get there? The danger we escaped, it'll be waiting for us. And Jim's still hurt" Claire says looking at Jim
"Claire, about that.... Jim is-"
But Jim takes a step forward putting his hand on my shoulder
"Ready to face the inevitable..."
"Jim....are you sure?" Laylah says slowly
"Jim?" Claire says in worry looking at the Trollhunter
Jim gives a slow sigh
"Claire, the shard in. There is no cure"
Claire gasps
"That's what Merlin told me earlier"
"That's crazy! We can find something! I'll learn a spell. We can stay here!"
Claire was panicking
"If we don't all go back right now; the future won't exist. And what kind of hero would I be if I sacrificed everyone else?
"Not to be ironic, but where out of time"
"No!
"Douxie, tell him! We can fix this! You can fix this!"
I shake my head
She turns to Laylah
"Laylah? There must be something you could do?! Right?!"
Laylah put her head to the ground
"I'm sorry, Claire. The boys are right"
"We must go back now, but when we do, we'll find a way to reverse this"
"I promised I would return you home, and I am, but the portal can only stay open for a few moments. This is our one shot. Trust me" I say putting my hand out.
I walk back up to the time map and scroll through it once again.
"You said to make the tough calls, old man"
"I hope I'm doing the right thing" I sigh
Laylah puts her hand on my cheek and smiles.
"You are doux, don't ever doubt yourself"
"There has to be another way. This isn't fair" Claire says with sadness
"That seems to be a reoccurring thing with us, you sure you wanna keep dating me?" Jim chuckles
Claire: I'd date you for a hundred lifetimes, Jim lake
"Hey, we'll figure this out. We always find a way to save each other"
The portal to the present opens in one big blast. I pull my staff forward as the ship went forward.
"Man, Camelot was crazy! Why don't they ever talk about that in the history books?" Steve says jumping around
"My burden to bear" I whisper as we get sucked back into the present
