21. Shadow Realm

Morgana POV:

"You're doing it Laylah! Your doing it!" I yell punching my hand in the air as Laylah slowly opens a portal to the shadow realm.

"Woohoo!" Laylah yells with a smile.

She finishes up the spell and steps back admiring what she has created.

"Look Morgana I did it!"

"Indeed, you have" I say with a smile.

"So, what now?" The curious girl asked placing one eyebrow above the other.

"Well, Let's go in"

"In?"

I nod

"But won't it be dangerous?"

"You can't live your life without having some of the most thrilling experiences" I say opening a shadow realm book.

"Hmmm" The girl thought about this a lot.

"Ok, but I'm not going if you're not!" Her voice was a bit shaky

"I'm-I'm scared" The little 7-year-old girl whimpered

I kneel down to her height. "It's okay to be scared, sometimes you don't know what coming"

"In the shadow realm your emotions connect with your powers making you be at your best ability possible"

"Learn to control that power, there is nothing you can't do"

(7-year-old) Laylah POV:

I trusted Morgana with my life. She was like a mother to me.

"Okay..."

"I trust you"

We both took hands and walked into the portal. I was flung in all sorts of directions. But I knew I was safe. As long as Morgana was with me, I wouldn't be harmed.

"Are you okay?" Morgana asked as the turning and twisting stopped.

"Yea I'm good"

I looked around. It was like we were underwater except it I could breath.

There were flying objects everywhere.

"So where are we again?" I ask

"The shadow realm, It's a world between humans and trolls"

"Spooky" I stay in a long tone voice.

Morgana chuckles a bit

"Yes, but you more-so get used to your surrounds"

I nod agreeing with everything she was saying even if I didn't fully understand completely.

"Now come, I have something to show you"

"Ooooo what is it!" I say excitedly

I loved surprises

Something was forming in Morgana hand. It was long a scaly.

"Morgana! Your-Your hand!" I say feeling scared as I backed away.

"It's okay, this is the staff of the shadow realm, my staff......Which hopefully I can pass onto you someday"

"Wow!"

"It's amazing!" I say eyes wide open so I could get a full view of the staff.

A loud bang came that echoed through the realm.

"What was that?" I ask hiding behind Morgana.

"We've been caught" Morgana sighs as the twisted and turning feeling came back again. Morgana and I were thrown out of the realm and onto a wooden floor.

"And what do you think you two are doing?" A man's voice spoke.

We looked up to see Merlin.

"Merlin let me explain" Morgana said quickly getting to her feet.

But he placed a hand in front of her face.

"I've seen and heard enough"

"I've told you more then a million times Morgana not to take Laylah into the shadow realm"

"But I—"

"And look now! You disobey me!"

"Merlin, there is nothing in the realm that will hurt the child! I was there with her!"

"ENOUGH!" Merlin yelled.

Merlin turned his glance and then his stance towards me.

"Merlin! The child didn't do anything!" Morgana said putting a hand in front of her.

"Laylah you are forbidden to go into the shadow realm"

"What! Merlin you can't possibly—"

But Merlin wasn't going to argue with her. Or any of us.

The decision has been made

I was forbidden to go into the shadow realm.

Even again.....
