{pregnant Kurapika au. Back at it again, posting at one am lol. I swear I don't do it on purpose. CW: vomit}

When Kurapika woke up, he was grumpy. He felt bloated and sticky like he'd eaten too much the night prior and neglected to take a shower. He wanted to bathe so badly, but he felt like throwing up every time he moved.

Leorio had left a while ago, leaving his boyfriend with nothing but a foggy memory of a good morning kiss. That bastard. Leaving me like this? That should be considered a criminal offense.

Kurapika sat up slowly, stomach sloshing around, threatening to send the contents bubbling up. He made his way over to the side of the bed, braced himself, then stood up.

He felt a lot better when he was standing up. He began to walk to the bathroom, thinking about the list of chores that needed to be done, when he was suddenly overcome with nausea.

Kurapika fell to his knees, one hand on his stomach, and one hand clamping his mouth shut just in case. Tears filled his eyes as he struggled to keep his breathing even, forcing himself not to throw up onto the carpet. He waited. He breathed. Eventually it passed.

On hands and knees, Kurapika crawled toward the bathroom, taking necessary stops every couple of seconds to calm himself. He almost made it when he heaved so hard he had no chance to keep his puke to himself.

There wasn't much. But it was on the bathroom floor. Gross. He sat down, leaning against the doorway. He was so tired. And he was shaking slightly from the sick. He didn't feel better. He needed to get to the toilet for when more came. But now there was a puddle of acid in the way.

Kurapika reached around to the cupboard under the sink, and pulled out a roll of paper towels. He did his best to wipe it up, and flushed the soiled towels. He'd have to use disinfectant wipes, but even the idea of the smell made bile rise in his throat.

Kurapika huddled next to the toilet, wishing he'd brought something to cover his bare shoulders. It was cold and unforgiving on the bathroom floor.

A pinging sound came from the bedroom. It was Kurapika's phone, no doubt, but he didn't have the strength to get up and answer. He didn't have the energy to do anything. After he threw up again -this time into the toilet- he slumped against the wall and submitted to sleeps heavy pull.

A door opened. That's what woke Kurapika up. The sound of his boyfriend getting home from work. Drats. The bathroom!

There was still a smudgy area where the puke used to be, and Kurapika had forgotten to flush the second time. He'd also forgotten to take a shower. Or brush his teeth. Or change out of his sleepwear. Or do the list of chores that he'd told Leorio not to worry about.

Kurapika hoisted himself to sit on the rim of the bathtub. No no no! What am I going to do? I didn't do any of the things Leorio asked me to do today. He flushed the toilet.

"Kurapika?" It was Leorio. He'd heard the flushing, and his footsteps indicated he was coming this way.

He can't see me like this! I'm smelly and covered in specks of vomit. Bed head! No deodorant! Stinky breath! Undone chores! Oh, what'll I do? He can't see me like this!

Kurapika began frantically wiping the floor with disinfectant wipes he'd snatched from the cupboard. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry!

"Kurapika?" Leorio came into view, and simply looked down at his tiny boyfriend, on his hands and knees, scrubbing the floor like a madman. "Is everything alright?"

Kurapika was suddenly overwhelmed with guilt. He was supposed to clean the house so Leorio could come home to a nice house and not worry about anything. But instead he'd selfishly slept in, then fallen asleep on the bathroom floor. That's pathetic.

"Oh, sunshine. What's the matter? Don't cry." Leorio swooped down and held Kurapika's face gently. He wiped away tears with his thumbs, never taking his worried gaze off the younger man.

"I'm so sorry." Kurapika cried. He sagged in Leorio's hands, turning into a sobbing mess right before his eyes. "I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to. I'm sorry."

Leorio hushed him, then sat down and pulled Kurapika onto his lap. Kurapika's rested his head on Leorio's collarbone, and continued to cry.

"What happened, sweetheart?" Leorio asked once Kurapika's fit was dying down.

"I was supposed to clean the house for you but I slept in, and I was really sick, and I puked on the floor, and I passed out next to the toilet, and I haven't showered, and I wasted the whole day."

Oh my god, these hormones! Leorio thought, gently caressing Kurapika's hair. "Its okay, I don't blame you. You're not in trouble. You didn't do anything wrong. It's okay to have a sick day. Honestly, you should have called me, I would have come home to take care of you."

Kurapika wiped his face. "But you can't just leave, your job is important!"

"You're more important to me, sunshine." Leorio kissed his head. He held his boyfriend a little bit longer before offering to bring him back to bed.

"I need a shower." Kurapika said.

"Do you maybe want to take a bath? Take some time to relax?"

Kurapika shook his head.

"Okay, how about a shower together?" Leorio petted his hair again. "I can help you wash up if you're too tired."

Kurapika nodded. "I'd like that."

And so they did. And Kurapika was happy. And Leorio was happy to have someone to take care of. They were both happy because they had each other.
