Leorio and Kurapika are parents for Killua and Alluka. I know I never talk about how Alluka is transgender (canon?) so imagine she's like 13 or so and her birth name is Naniko. Like Nanika but a... masculine version... stfu it's 1 am I can't think of a better name.

-Leorio opened the door to his bedroom and hesitated. "Hey um, babe?"
Kurapika looked over with an eyebrow raised. "What is it?"
"I have a hypothetical question." He closed the door behind him. He was nervous.
"Okay," Kurapika put down his book and sat up straight. "Go ahead, I'm listening."
"What if I told you... that I was... transgender?"
Kurapika thought about it for a second. "Well, then we would discuss what name you want to use and what pronouns you're comfortable with. We would work together to make you comfortable and happy."
Leorio chewed his lip. "And what would you say if one of our kids was transgender?"
"Is it Naniko?" Kurapika asked.
"Okay, how did you know, did -she tell you first?"
Kurapika smiled and shook his head. "I just had a feeling. Is... she still awake?"
"Yeah. But maybe we should wait until tomorrow to talk about it." Leorio said.
"That's a good idea." Kurapika opened his arms for his husband to crawl into. "Don't tell me anything yet, I want her to tell me herself."
Leorio smiled against Kurapika's chest. "Okay. I'll keep it a surprise."

Morning came and Kurapika was already awake rehearsing. He knew it was going to be scary for Naniko, so he wanted to be as gentle and understanding as possible. He made a little peace offering breakfast-in-bed.
When he knocked on Naniko's door, there was silence. "Hey, sweetheart? I've got some breakfast in bed for you."
"Come in." The voice was so timid and frightened.
Kurapika entered to see his child sitting on their bed, trying to look brave and put together.
"Hey kiddo. How are you this morning?" He handed the plate to them and sat down.
"Good." Naniko's eyes started to fill with tears.
"You know... Papá and I never keep secrets from each other." Kurapika began. "But you should also know that we both love you no matter what, right?"
Naniko's tears started to fall. A simple nod was all he got.
Kurapika smoothed down the dark hair of his child. "When we adopted you, we did not know you. Even now, we are still learning so much about you. And guess what? You're still growing. You're still changing, and that's okay. The only thing that won't change is how much I love you. I will love you even if you're a boy, if you're a girl, if you're something in between, or if you just don't know yet. You are still my darling child."
Naniko burst into tears and hugged Kurapika. He hugged back.
"You don't have to tell me yet, but I'm ready whenever you are."
"Dad, I'm- I think I'm trans."
Kurapika smoothed down their hair again. "That's okay, sweetheart. Does Killua know?"
A nod.
"Have you picked out a name?"
A hesitation. "Alluka."
