"Leorio..." Kurapika was still buried in the magazine's swimsuit catalog. "Do you think I'm sexy?"

Leorio rubbed an eye, fighting off the urge to sleep. "Of course I do, sweetheart. You've always been sexy."

Kurapika lifted the magazine to show him a particular page. "Even if I don't look like this?"

Leorio nodded. "Nobody actually looks like that, Kurapika. that's just photoshop."

"Photoshop?" He scrutinized the picture. "But they all look so-" He stopped when he heard soft snoring. Leorio had fallen asleep. Kurapika sighed and looked back to the magazine. He set it down and grabbed his shoes and a hoodie. He had an idea.

Leorio?" Kurapika called from the bathroom.

"Hmm?" Leorio woke up at the sound of his name.

"Can you come here for a second?"

"You need toilet paper again?" The tall man yawned as he stood.

"Not exactly," Kurapika called, then stepped out into the hallway to greet the sleepy doctor.

"Oh my god." Leorio stuttered his steps, not quite believing what he was seeing. "Honey, what..."

"I went out and got some makeup," Kurapika explained, he was suddenly not feeling very confident. "How does it look?"

"I... I- you look- I can't even... it looks great!" He smiled, lifting his hands up to cradle Kurapika's face. "You did a great job, was this your first time trying on makeup?"

"Yeah, you can probably tell." Kurapika rubbed his arm self-consciously.

"No, no! I'm serious when I say it looks good, but pika..." He holds the younger man's hands. "Is it because of those pictures?"

"Maybe." He said timidly.

"I want you to answer me truthfully," Leorio said. "Do you like wearing makeup? Does it make you feel confident? Or are you just doing it because you think I might like it?"

"I... I'm not sure."

"I want you to do things for you, sweetheart. Not just because magazines tell you to." He said gently. "Because no matter what you do; if it makes you happy, then I will always love it."

Kurapika smiled. He had been a bit embarrassed before because he did like wearing makeup. He liked applying mascara on his eyelashes and dusting his face with the brushes. It made him feel like an artist with a canvas.

"I like wearing makeup," Kurapika said softly.

"That's awesome," Leorio said, almost laughing with relief. "If you ever want company while you're shopping, I'd be more than happy to join you! And if we need to talk to one of those like... professional people to find the right foundation for your skin tone, we can do that too!"

"Thank you, Leorio." Kurapika smiled, closing his eyes.

"Of course, darling." he petted his head. "Have you thought about doing something with your hair? Maybe headbands or clips? I can learn how to braid hair if you'd like."

"You would do that for me?" Kurapika looked up at him, eyes framed by long, dark lashes.

Leorio nodded. "I mean, I kinda know how from braiding Lienna's hair when we were little, so I won't be too bad."

"That sounds wonderful," Kurapika said. "Do you want to wear makeup too?"

Leorio immediately grimaced. "You know, makeup isn't really my thing... but maybe someday."
