Leorio tapped Kurapika on the shoulder to let him know he was there, then kissed him on the forehead. 'What are you working on?' He signed.

Kurapika smiled and sat up straight. 'I've been working on a new drawing, and I'm very excited to finish it.'

'Wow! Sounds like fun.'

'Thanks. Was work good today?'

Leorio sighed. 'No. My coworker was a bitch.'

Kurapika pouted. 'I'm sorry. How was your lunch? Did you like the mochi?'

Leorio smiled. 'Yes. Thank you for packing me the mochi. It was very yummy.'

'I'm glad.' Kurapika signed, then stood up. 'I'm a little hungry. You want anything?'

Leorio shook his head. 'I'm gonna get dressed. It's late.'

Kurapika nodded. 'Will you wait for me?'

Leorio nodded, and Kurapika left to the kitchen. Leorio did as he promised, and left a lamp on when he was getting into bed. By the time Kurapika came back, he was all tucked in.

'What did you eat?'

'Cereal. It was quick.' Kurapika changed into his night clothes.

Once he was done, Leorio asked the question that had been nagging in his brain. 'Do you want to have sex tonight?'

Kurapika made a face of surprise. 'What? Where did you get that idea?'

Leorio shrugged. 'It's been a while since we have. I was wondering if you wanted to.'

Kurapika considered it. 'Not tonight. I have classes tomorrow."

'That's ok. Gimme kiss?'

Kurapika leaned forward and gave him a kiss on the cheek. 'Goodnight Leorio. I love you so much.' He kissed him again.

'Love you too.' Leorio turned out the light, then scooted closer to spoon Kurapika in the dark.

The cafe was warm, a contrast to the cold weather outside. Kurapika stomped snow off his boots onto the welcome mat, then took off his gloves.

'Wow, this snow is crazy!' Leorio signed. He was so cute when he used sign language.

'I know. The weather changed so suddenly.' Kurapika signed back. Leorio pointed up at the menu, and they both started deciding what to eat.

Leorio started talking to the employee at the beginning of the line, then turned to ask Kurapika if he wanted a salad.

Kurapika shook his head. 'Only soup.'

Leorio told the guy, then relayed his message. 'You can go to the soup station. I will be there in a minute.'

Kurapika nodded and walked down the line, nervously checking the menu and rehearsing.

The girl at the soup station waved to get his attention. To his surprise, she used sign. 'You want soup today?'

Kurapika nodded. He signed back slowly so she could understand. 'SouthWest Potato, please.'

'Half size or large?'

Kurapika considered it. 'Half size.'

She nodded and served the soup, just as Leorio walked up. "Hey sunshine."

'She knows sign! I already ordered. Your turn.' Kurapika was really excited and proud of this exchange.

He and Leorio thanked the girl and moved on in line. No one else knew sign language, so Kurapika decided to go get utensils and a table.
