"Mummy!"

The second I closed that door behind me, Liam came running and I had to drop my bag on the floor to catch him as he jumped into my arms.

"Hi handsome." I laughed as he slid back down my body after hugging him me. "Have you had a nice day?"

"Freddie wouldn't let me play a game on his phone." He said. "He's a cunt."

My eyes widened.

"He's a what?"

"A cunt. I don't know what it means but Freddie shouted it at the chair because he hit his foot."

I crouched down to be in his height, brushing some of his hair away from his face.

"That is a word that we do not like to use." I said.

"Why?"

"Because..."

I didn't know how to explain that, but I didn't want my five-year-old son to walk around using the word cunt.

"Is it another grown up word?" Liam asked, and I smiled, nodding. He shrugged. "Okay... why?"

I sighed but then chuckled at the cute and confused expression on his face.

"Is it because daddy doesn't like when I say grown up words?" He asked, and I nodded again. "Why?"

"Alright, get lost you little midget." I said and reached out to tickle him but he ran off, shrieking with laughter.

I smiled as I stood up. After placing my shoes by the wall, I walked through the house and followed the noise of video games.

In the first living room, Fred sat in the floor in front of the sofa, Amelia between his legs.

He was playing some violent video game while Amelia cheered on, clapping at him.

"I'm home." I said, leaning against the doorframe.

"Hi mum." Fred said while Amelia didn't pay attention to anything but the screen.

"I'll take a shower. Keep an eye on the twins meanwhile, will you?"

"Sure."

"Liam too, Freddie." I said. "Or should I wait until your dad gets home?"

"No, I'll watch them."

"Thank you." I nodded and turned away to leave the room.

"Hey mum?"

I paused and looked back at him.

"With you and dad having another baby and no room being available, I want to let you know that you can clear mine out once I move, and use it as a nursery."

I looked at him for a moment before I fully turned around to face him.

"Freddie... we're gonna need a nursery but you don't have to give up your room. We'll figure something out."

"Mum, it's okay, really." He said with a shrug. "I'll have my own place."

"And when you want to come home?" I asked. "Are you just gonna sleep on the sofa?"

He grinned.

"Why not? We've got like eight." He said. "Either way, I'll be traveling a lot with the team. I'll only really be home like once a year."

Don't remind me.

"I'll talk to your dad about it." I said before I went to walk away again when he once again spoke.
