"Relax, Nyo Aunty. Maybe she is over exhausted because of physical stress. And in this condition, a person can take hours to recover. Let me check."

Nyonika got up and let Navya sit near Nandini. Navya took Nandini's hand and pressed her thump on her pulse. Her forehead lined. Her pulse was fast instead of slow. She pulled up her eyelid and examined her eyes. It was dry and dehydrated. Navya took out her stethoscope and wore it. She was checking her heartbeat when Nyonika restlessly asked,

"Say something, Navu. What happened to her?"

Navya took off the stetho and roamed her puzzled eyes on Nyonika and Manik.

"She didn't faint because of weakness, I guess. Because her heartbeat and pulse are fast instead of slow. There is a sign of dehydration but that is normal. She was outside for a long and was dancing too. Because of excessive sweating, it happens."

Navya mouthed unsurely. The lines on her forehead were indicating that she was contemplating something. Manik observed it minutely and asked,

"Are you confused? Anything serious?"

Navya kept on looking at him for a while and replied in a grave voice,

"I won't deny. Call some other Dr. She may say something different."

..........................................

"She must....is not good. Why did she....Let me check..."

"I told...outside. She is weak. Navya checked...Please Dr..."

Suddenly Nandini opened her eyes with a jerk. Her hazy eyes roamed over every face in the room. Dr Sippy sat on the nearby chair and asked in a sweet affectionate voice,

"Hello, Nandini. How are you feeling now? You shouldn't be outside for so long. I told you that you still need plenty of rest. Okay, no problem. Let me check you."

She tried to hold her wrist but Nandini got up with a jolt.

"I am fine....I am fine. No need for any...checkup. I am absolutely okay. It's just a simple blackout. I promise I won't go outside further. There is no need for help."

Nandini sounded obstinate and timid at a time. She pulled back her hand from Dr Sippy's reach. It seemed that she didn't want to be attended by anyone. Dr Sippy smiled softly and replied,

"It's okay, Nandini. Nobody is scolding or blaming you."

She again tried to touch her but Nandini retrieved wrapping her knees with her both hands.

"I told you, right...I am perfectly fine. Why don't you leave me alone?"
