Dhruv's voice shook. Aliya kept mum for a while. Her puffy eyes blinked a couple of times. Eventually, she uttered in a despondent voice,
"Either for Manik or Bhai."

"We came here to tell you that only. Manik and Cabir were supposed to go to the police station before going to the place where Harshad asked Manik to come. I asked them to inform the police before taking any action. But..."
"But..?"
Panic was palpable in Nyonika's voice. Shrikant sauntered to the bed and slouched on it while finishing his words,
"But Manik is not at home."
Some moment of dead silence captured the room air. Shrikant met Nyonika's dreadful eyes and added,
"Maybe he already left to get Nandini."

Nyonika headed to the cupboard and opened a drawer. She put her hand inside and after some second of groping, took out a revolver.
"I can't wait for the police."
She mumbled and placed it inside her handbag. Then she sneaked out of Malhotra Mansion. A taxi was passing by. She hired it and commanded the driver in a stern voice,
"Khar West, Saxena house. Quick."
