A/N Nothing special just wanted to thank everyone for reading the story!

To say Sage wasn't having a good day was an understatement. She had woken up late so she didn't have time to train before school, Stiles' Jeep broke down on the way to school, and she left her English paper at home that was due today. She could tell it was only the beginning of one of the worst days of her high school life.

Chemistry was the same as always, Stiles got him and Scott yet another weekend detention. It wasn't entirely his fault, his need to problem-solve every chance he gets got the best of him. He spent most of the class asking Sage and Scott if they planned on going through with the lure.

By the time she got to English she was nearly exhausted, and the day was only half over. She sat in the back, hoping she wouldn't draw any attention to herself since she hadn't done the assignment. Just her luck, Mr.Parker noticed her almost immediately.

"Ms.Finstock, care to explain why I don't have your paper on my desk right now?" Mr.Parker was a bitter old man and didn't tend to make exceptions.

"I left my paper on my desk, I can go home and get it during my free period and turn it in?" Sage felt her face overwhelming with heat as she noticed the entire class staring.

"I have a makeup test, but seeing as you're normally on top of your assignments, I'll allow you to turn it in before office hours finish." He didn't tend to make exceptions, but it was always possible.

"Understood," Sage said before burying her head into her notes.

The class continued on as normal, and Sage was beyond thankful for that. She took her notes, and by the time the bell rang, her embarrassment was minimal. She headed to the cafeteria and was met with two faces that she knew meant trouble.

"What do you want boys?" She rolled her eyes as Scott and Stiles' smiles grew with evil intent.

-

"What do mean you can't come to the scrimmage? Sage, you always come to the scrimmages!" Stiles threw his hands up in absolute distress.

"It's my first scrimmage on first line, you have to be there." Scott joined in on the distress rather quickly.

"I didn't say I wouldn't be there I said that I would be late. That is not the same. Parker is giving me till the end of office hours to be back with my paper, which means immediately after school, I have to be home, which also means, I will be late for the scrimmage. End of discussion." Sage said taking a bit of her apple, making sure to be dramatic about it.

"Late is basically not there!" Stiles said, clearly missing where Sage ended the discussion.

"Stiles I will not argue this with you my grades come first. If you want your legs to stay attached so you can actually go to the scrimmage, I suggest that you drop it. Okay? Great glad we got this under control." She stood up and began walking out of the cafeteria, patting Stiles' shoulder as she did so.

She wanted to make it to her Economics class early, which is why she left the cafeteria early. That, and the fact that she had no interest in arguing with her best friends any longer. As she turned the corner she slammed straight into a taller frame, causing her bag to fall and her books to slide out of it.

"I am so sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going!" Sage fumbled over her words as she grabbed her papers to stuff them back into her bag.

"Hey, don't worry about it. It happens to the best of us." She looked up and saw that she bumped into Isaac.

"Isaac, I didn't realize it was you!" Isaac helped her pick up the remainder of her stuff.

"As I said, don't worry about it. I was kind of hoping to bump into you anyway. I just didn't mean it literally."

"Oh really? What's up?" Sage was intrigued but she didn't want it to be obvious so she just stood up, shouldering her bag.

"Do you have any plans tonight? We have a scrimmage tonight and I don't really ever have anyone to watch them. It would be really nice to have you there." Isaac didn't mean for it to come out the way that it did, but he had to admit he was nervous.

"I was planning on coming anyways! I always go to the boys' scrimmages, but I would love to cheer you on too." Sage smiled, he was just being nice right? Right.

"That's great!" He looks ready to continue his sentence, but someone calls his name from across the hall. "Sorry, that's my best friend Boyd, it's our free period and he promised he'd help me get in some extra field time before tonight's match. I'll see you tonight, it was great talking to you." He disappeared into the sea of bodies towards his friend.

-

"Who was that guy I saw you with earlier?" Lydia said, almost the second Sage sat down next to her in Economics.

"What guy? Scott and Stiles?" Sage asked, even though she knew very well who Lydia was talking about.

"Sage, don't even. Cute, brownish blonde hair, tall, completely into you? Ringing any bells?" Lydia rolled her eyes but lowered her voice because Coach was the teacher and she wasn't intending on him hearing it.

"Isaac is not into me. I ran into him and dropped my books everywhere." Sage felt her face heating up but chose to ignore it.

"I love how you say that, yet your face is turning redder than it did at the freshman formal. Speaking of formals, you should ask Isaac to the winter one." Lydia smirked knowing she knew exactly what Sage was thinking.

Sage dropped her head into her desk avoiding eye contact with Lydia. She took the notes on today's lecture and tried her best to stay focused. She needed to keep her head on straight, and not let Lydia's perspective cause her to do something rash. If he liked her, he was going to make a move, the right way.

Time flew throughout the rest of class. The bell rang signaling the passing period and Sage was the first to the door. She didn't want to talk about Isaac with Lydia, because then it made everything real. She wasn't ready to admit she liked him, because in her mind it was clear he didn't feel the same.

Sage borrowed Stiles' Jeep and drove home to grab her English paper. She grabbed it off of her desk and ran down the stair and out the door, making sure to lock the door behind her. She got back into the Jeep and it was a straight shot back to the school.

She opened the school doors and it was dark, office hours were just about over. She ran down the halls, turning the corner and making it to Mr.Parker's classroom just a minute before office hours ended.

"Traffic was horrible but I made it!" Sage smiled as she placed the paper on his desk, she had worked too hard on it for it not to be graded.

"Thank you, Ms.Finstock, I look forward to reading. Now if you'll excuse me I have to get home, my wife made dinner." Mr.Parker gave her a genuine smile before placing the paper in his bag and heading for the door. "Are you coming?"

"Oh of course! Thank you again for giving me the extension, I woke up late and didn't have time to get my head on straight, I just wanted to be on time and forgot the paper."

"Sage you're a good student, and the entire school knows it. You work hard and you earn the leniency that you receive. Have a good night, and enjoy the game." Mr.Parker exited through the side door towards the parking lot.

Sage smiled to herself and turned toward the back exit that lead to the lacrosse field. As she walked down the hall she felt like someone was watching her, but she couldn't place who it was. No one should've been on this floor except her.

As she turned around to check behind her she saw a dark shadow. She couldn't make out what it was but as she looked closer she noticed one thing, and that one thing terrified her. Whatever was standing at the end of the hall had red glowing eyes.
