A/N Hey what's up! Let's get a new chapter started shall we? Thank you guys so much for 15k reads! Knowing that you guys enjoy the story really makes writing fulfilling.

"Hale? I'm assuming it's not a coincidence?" Evangeline, being the only one who didn't know the full story of the fire, was the first to question the name.

"Our Uncle. Other than the two of us and Laura he was the only other to survive." Derek felt his adrenaline rushing, and the other wolves heard his heartbeat speeding with rage.

"He was the only survivor in the fire. Derek and I were at school, Laura was coming to pick us up. He was in a coma for a year, and now he's nearly a paraplegic. Or so we thought that lying son of a bitch." Seraphina clearly had her brother's temper.

Sage was frozen, everything was right. A Hale was behind this, but it wasn't Seraphina or Derek. The chill she got down her spine when she looked at them is because the surviving Hale's shared the same dead look in their eyes. Somehow she had known all along what was happening but she couldn't put the pieces together.

"So we know who the alpha is, how the hell are we gonna stop it?" Isaac spoke for the first time since entering the Hale House.

Derek looked at the list of victims once more. "There's one person that was a part of the fire that it's on this list. Kate Argent."

"I'm sorry did you just say Argent?! No, you've gotta be joking!" Sage felt her heart sink to the floor.

"Wait what's the deal with Argent?" Stiles hadn't put the pieces together.

"Stiles we know her niece. The one that's been dating my best friend. Allison Argent's aunt was a part of the fire?" Sage sat down feeling as if the wind was knocked out of her.

Only in Beacon Hills would a woman responsible for murdering nearly a dozen people in a fire have a niece that fell for Sage's best friend. This can't be happening. Now to stop Peter they had to go to the Argent house.

"We need to go to the Argent's house. Now. Peter is going to kill Kate, tonight." Sage's eyes widened and she felt everything crash at once.

"Lydia's there right now."

-

The drive to the Argent house was silent, everyone was racing with different emotions. While the Hales drove in Derek's car, everyone else drove in the Jeep. Sage sat in the backseat with Isaac and Scott, which was beginning to become a habit. She spent the entire ride trying to call Lydia and get her out of the house. Lydia was her main priority.

As they pulled up to the Argent's house, Sage's heart dropped further when she saw that Lydia's car was still in the driveway. They got out of the car and heard a crash, causing everyone to race towards the front door. Lydia screamed and suddenly Sage froze.

Everyone else ran into the house and another crash sounded as the alpha leaped out of the front window, knocking Sage to the ground. Seraphina and Isaac ran to chase after Peter, only to see Sage struggling to get back up. The two ran to her aid helping her up and attempting to lead her back to the Jeep.

"No! Lydia! Where is Lydia?" She pushed the two wolves off of her making her way towards the house.

Nothing was going to stop her from seeing Lydia. The girls had been through so much together, she wasn't going to abandon her. She heard Lydia scream and froze in her tracks, but she wouldn't leave that spot until she was able to hug Lydia. She burst through the door and saw Lydia on the ground.

"Sage? What are you all doing here? What's going on?" Lydia seemed okay and that's all she cared about.

Sage dropped to her knees and threw her arms around her best friend pulling her into a hug. She felt her heart start beating again seeing Lydia unharmed. She was obviously shaken up, but she was alive and she was okay. Sage would worry about everything else later.

"You're okay." Sage felt herself ease into the hug as Lydia wrapped her arms around her.

"I'm okay Sage. Do you wanna explain to me what the hell just happened?" Lydia was confused, but her best friend seemed terrified.

"If you stay the night with me I'll tell you everything." Sage reluctantly let Lydia go to look her in the eyes.

"Okay."

-

"You're telling me that werewolves actually exist. And that the thing that just tried to kill my girlfriend's aunt was an alpha, that turned Scott and Isaac?" Lydia took an aspirin and stared at her best friend in disbelief.

"Remember the research about the Hales? The fire and me asking you again yesterday for help with the connections? All of the victims of the alpha were connected to the Hale House fire." Sage paused struggling to find the words. "Kate Argent orchestrated the fire because she knew they were werewolves."

"Holy shit. That's what she meant." When she saw how confused Sage was, she continued, "Kate kept referring to the Hales as 'mutts.' Allison and I just thought she meant the guys were players. She was telling us about Peter as that thing crashed in."

"What do you mean she was telling you about Peter?"

"They had a thing before the fire. When Kate tried to bring it up at dinner Allison's dad told her not to bring it up in front of us. After he went upstairs to bed Kate brought it up again. This is really happening? The supernatural exists? I swear to god Sage Grace Finstock if you and your weird best friends are pranking me right now I'm going to hurt you."

"Lydia Camille Martin, I swear on Tipsy the Turtle I am telling you the truth. I wanted to tell you sooner but I didn't want you to think I was crazy." Sage grabbed her best friend's hands and looked at her.

"Sage, I already think you're crazy. But you're right I would've thought you were batshit."

The girls spent the rest of the night talking about everything that had happened since the bite. They both agreed that they didn't want Lydia to get involved in everything. Knowing Lydia was aware and staying safe kept Sage at ease, and Lydia was terrified of diving into this world.

Sage, Stiles, and Scott pulled into the Hale's driveway and Isaac pulled in behind them on his motorcycle. Evangeline had an exam and had to stay home, which she wasn't upset about. She didn't want to admit it, but all of this still made no sense to her.

The four walked into the house and found Seraphina sitting at the table they deemed the 'tactics table,' coined by Stiles Stilinski. They decided to keep their alpha dealings away from the cellar where they sleep, to avoid any damages.

"Derek's downstairs making a call, how's Lydia?" Seraphina asked as they sat down.

"She surprisingly doesn't think we're all insane, which is all I could ask for. She went home from my house and stayed home from school. She texts me updates on how she's doing, and before we pulled in she told me she was gonna take a nap."

"That's good to hear. I assume you told her about Allison's aunt." Sage nodded and noticed Derek had walked upstairs to join them.

The group sat and talked about the next move. They had no idea what to do next. It wasn't possible for them to just sit outside of the Argent's house and wait for Peter to come back. They had just about exhausted every idea possible. They felt defeated, it was hopeless.

It was in that moment the door swung open and a man walked in. Seraphina and Derek both jumped up, overtaken with rage. That was the moment where Sage noticed Derek's eyes. Unlike Seraphina, Scott, and Isaac, whose eyes were a golden yellow, Derek's eyes were a sickening blue.

"Seraphina, Derek, my favorite niece, and nephew. I think it's time we talk." He over to the rest of the group and his eyes began to glow red. "You can see yourselves out, this is a family affair."
