A/N Hey all! I am very happy to announce that I am back in the mood to get this story going! Thank you for anyone who stuck around during my random break in updates. I adore you all so much and I can't wait to keep you all well fed! On to the story now shall we?
"Okay so Derek is training with Cora, Scott is working and talking with Deaton about everything we learned, what are we supposed to do?" Sage asked looking over at Seraphina, who was currently driving her home.
"Well we don't really have anything to do, so I guess we just go to your house and everything's fine?" Seraphina shrugged.
Almost like they had cursed themselves, Sage's phone began to ring with the caller ID showing that it was Lydia calling. Thinking nothing of it, Sage answered and was immediately met with screaming.
"Lydia slow down, what's going on?" Sage tried soothing her best friend, but it clearly wasn't working.
"There's a body at the pool. His throat it's... slashed. I already called Sherriff but he told me I should call someone so I wasn't alone when they question me." Lydia's voice was shaky, and Sage could tell that she had been crying.
"We're on our way, hang tight Lyds, we'll be right there." She hung up the phone before turning to Seraphina. "We need to turn around and get to the pool, now."
-
"What were you doing here?"
"I don't know, something just told me to turn into the pool, so I did. Then I saw a dummy laying in the pool, and I didn't think anything of it, but then I turned around and I..." Lydia felt the tears forming in her eyes again as she stopped.
"Is that all?" Noah asked, his eyebrow raised as he looked over at Lydia, who was huddled against Sage.
"That's all I can remember right now." Lydia's nodded pulling the blanket that Noah brought her closer around her body.
"I'm gonna take her home Noah, if she remembers anything, we will let you know. I promise." Sage handed the redhead off to Seraphina who guided her into the backseat of the car.
"Is this... you know?" He knew that he would regret asking, but he needed to know.
"We don't know for sure what it is, but we think so. Just... stay safe okay. Anything you can't handle, call us. I know it sounds insane trusting a bunch of teenagers with this but, we can help you, and we need you to trust us." Sage pulled Noah into a hug, the guilt of dragging him into this mess finally seeping to the surface.
"I will stay safe as long as you guys promise to do the same. Not just my kids. You, Scott, Lydia, all of you." Noah smiled before turning back to the crime scene.
Lydia was right, the victim's throat was slashed, more like it was ripped out. He was seating a top of the lifeguard tower slumped backwards. It was gruesome to say the least, but Sage couldn't pull her eyes away, it's like there was something she needed to see. Her eyes roamed the corpse, and she noticed a purity ring on his finger, but thinking nothing of it, she got in the car and comforted Lydia as they took her home.
-
"I called Stiles to go to the hospital, Melissa said she'd tell us everything she knows about the body. We know that it wasn't Boyd and Cora because we had them when he..." Seraphina trailed off as she looked at the blank look on Lydia's face, "We can talk about that later. I'll go wait in the car Sage." Seraphina smiled weakly before disappearing down the steps.
"Do you think you'll be okay until Natalie comes home? I can stay with you, there's no reason you should be left alone tonight. I can just text Stiles and have him pick me up later-" Sage started rambling, which seemed to comfort Lydia.
"Sage. I'm okay really. No need to handle me with kid gloves." She reached over and gave her best friend's hand a gentle squeeze.
"Okay, then I have a question for you." Sage sat down on the bed next to her, staring straight a head, not knowing where to start.
"You wanna know what told me to go to the pool. Because of what happened with Peter Hale."
"Can you blame me? With the kanima venom, you weren't affected, and you were able to bring Peter back, and now you found a body? Something's going on with you, and I want to find out what it is before it hurts you. Not knowing could get us in a lot of trouble, it could get you in a lot of trouble." The brunette nodded her head, this truly sucked.
"I don't know how I got there. The truth is that I got in my car and that's the last thing I remember before seeing the dummy. I don't know what happened. I don't know much of anything these days. I was hoping you and the Scooby gang would know." Lydia fell back against the bed, turning her head as Sage did the same.
"Whatever is going on with you, we're going to find out, and we're going to help you. We're going to figure out how to unlink you to Peter and I'm going to kill him myself." Sage smiled at her best friend.
"How lucky am I? I've got a superhero for a best friend." Lydia teased, causing Sage to laugh.
"And you better not forget it."

Sage dropped her keys in the bowl as she walked into the kitchen, looking around and searching for her dad. As she walked up to the fridge she noticed a note in her father's handwriting stating that he was out at a conference with a student's parent and he would be home late for dinner.
Although the house was supposed to be quiet, she could hear what sounded like a clicking noise, and she could feel chills down her spine. Someone was in her house but she had no idea who it was. Grabbing a knife from the knife block, she slowly made her way upstairs, sending a mass text to the pack, letting them know what was going on.
She got to the top of the stairs and turned the corner when she heard the clicking again. After realizing it was coming from her room, she opened the door slowly, trying not to jump out of her skin when she saw what looked like a blind man standing in front of her, his arms crossed and a sinister smile plastered across his face.
For a moment, the two just stared at each other. Sage's mind was reeling. She didn't know who this man is, or what on earth he was doing in her house. She knew that he could sense her terror, so she sat up straighter, trying her best not to seem like a scared child. It was like he could sense her mock confidence.
"I've been expecting you. Sage is it?" The man spoke, and his voice sent chills down the girl's spine.
"Who are you?"
