A/N Hey all! Just so grateful to see the love, and even though I say it in every author's note I'm gonna keep saying it every update.

"First you tell me werewolves exist and now there's that lizard thing!? I don't remember this being on the brochure." Evangeline sat down on the couch of the Finstock House drying her hair. "Thanks for letting me borrow some of your clothes Sage."

"Any time. Now back to what you said earlier. What was that thing? Derek, Seraphina? Kinda praying that you know something and are just holding back." Sage looked at the Hale siblings, who looked just as shocked as the rest.

"I wish I knew what it was. I've never seen anything like that. But its' eyes. It's a shapeshifter like us." Seraphina looked over at her brother who was thinking the same thing.

"Oh, so you all turn into reptiles? Fun new addition!" Stiles leaned back into the couch throwing his hands up in true Stiles fashion.

"No, we don't. But as our mom used to tell us, sometimes the shape you take reflects the person you are." Derek's eyes softened at the mention of his mother.

"So we're looking for a snake? Great, let's pull out the yearbooks." Stiles rolled his eyes and looked at Sage. "I know I know 'not helping.' But what else are we supposed to do?"

"We figure out what it is, and then we stop it," Scott spoke up, sat against the wall.

The next day, the teens of the pack went to school as normal, but nothing was normal. Lydia was back at school, checking on Allison in between periods. Sage and Seraphina walked into their history class and said hello to the boys, who were already seated.

"Alright class, we're starting a new section today, Beasts of Mythology, so if you would all take a seat and open your textbooks." Ms.Roberts said as she leaned against her desk.

Seraphina and Sage took their seats behind Scott and Stiles, in front of Isaac and Boyd, Lydia seated on their left, and Erica on their right with Jackson behind them. Ms.Roberts went on with her lesson, but most of the pack wasn't paying attention.

"Where do you think those two were the night of the full moon?" Stiles said looking back and Sage and Seraphina, knowing Isaac and Boyd could hear him as well.

"Probably licking her fur, painting her claws." Sage let her obvious distaste for the blonde show, and Boyd and Isaac had to stop themselves from laughing.

"You know I can hear you now right Sage?" Erica looked over at Sage, making sure to show her wolf eyes.

"You know I don't care right, Erica?" Sage mocked her, rolling her eyes.

Erica growled under her breath and was met with Seraphina giving her a look, causing her to sit up straight and look away. Sage looked over at Seraphina and they both shared a little laugh. No matter how tough Erica thought she was, she was all talk.

After the altercation with Erica, the group decided to actually focus on the lecture. The class had gone on for 45 minutes of boredom and Sage was just about to check out again. Before she got the chance, the next topic of the lecture caught her attention, causing her to shoot her head up and look at the rest of the pack.

"The Kanima is a creature, usually described as a lizard, with a paralytic venom. The Kanima was once used by a South American priest who took it upon himself to rid his village of all murderers. The bond between master and servant grew stronger until the will of the master became that of the Kanima's and whomever the priest deemed unworthy, the Kanima served his vengeance." Ms.Roberts read from the book, and the pack locked eyes.
