A/N 40K reads?! Absolutely unreal. You guys are insane and I absolutely adore every single one of you! If you saw my message you saw I have a lot of fun concepts in the drafts! I will get to all of them I am just very clearly struggling with this one, so those will have to wait until I'm stable.
The kanima kept its' eyes locked on the group and they hadn't moved since they made it downstairs. It slowly started creeping towards them and the group made a break for the stairs. There was no way they could make it to the kitchen sink, but if they made it to the bathroom they could scare it away with water.
"Get water now!" Sage screamed as they split up to the two bathrooms up the steps.
Boyd, Isaac, and Sage darted to the main bathroom, while Scott, Stiles, and Seraphina made their way to the bathroom in Scott's room. The turned on the shower heads and the faucets and grabbed anything they could use to throw the water at it.
The kanima made it up the steps and looked back and forth between bathrooms, as if trying to decide who it wanted to kill first. Just as it seemed to have decided on the main bathroom, there was a loud knocking on the door causing everyone, including the kanima, to turn their heads.
The creature ran towards Melissa's bedroom and the pack ran down the steps to open it, hoping it was Derek, Evangeline, or anyone who could be helpful. Unlucky for all of them, it was Erica Reyes, who had seemingly just pissed off Lydia, who was also standing on the front porch.
"Oh great, you're all here." Erica had her usual smug grin splattered across her face.
None of the pack had the chance to respond as the kanima crept from through an open window from the top floor and down the street. There was nothing they could do now, the kanima was gone, but they knew something now that they didn't before. The kanima was Jackson.
"What the hell is that!?" Lydia screamed as looked directly at the creature as it slithered away.
"That would be your ex boyfriend." Stiles leaned against the door frame feeling like he could finally breathe again.
-
"Well that solves that." Stiles had finished explaining the full story to Derek, Evangeline, and Lydia who had decided she was officially apart of the chaos.
"So Jackson's the kanima." Evangeline and Derek spoke simultaneously and both blushed in response.
"Yep. I always knew he was a snake but an actual lizard? Jesus." Lydia ran her hands through her hair, and everyone in the room could see how stressed the thought made her.
"We knew it was between him and mega bitch, and now we just know for sure." Sage reached over and grabbed her best friend's hand, squeezing it. Her response made Lydia laugh, even if it was just a little.
"I bet you were really hoping it was her." The redhead looked over at Sage who just made a face.
"So now that we know it's Jackson, what do we do?" Boyd asked leaning forward to grab his soda from the table.
"The kanima seeks a friend right? Well Jackson only has one friend." Scott lifts up his phone and shows the group a picture that was on one of Jackson's social media accounts. Him and Danny.
The group shared a look, Danny was Jackson's target and they had no idea where he was. The began searching through Danny's social media in hopes to find out where he was going. Apparently Boyd was the only one with a brain in this meeting.
"He's at a club called The Jungle?" Boyd looked up from his phone and everyone's head swung to meet his gaze.
"How did you figure that out?" Isaac raised an eyebrow at his best friend.
"I texted him and asked." Boyd shrugged as it was the obvious answer, which in all hindsight, it was.
"Well then, let's go!" Sage jumped up and grabbed Isaac's hand pulling him with, as an instinct.
"No no, we can't all go." Derek looked around the room. "Stiles, Scott, Seraphina, Sage. You four go. The rest of us have to devise a plan of keeping Danny, and possibly Lydia safe when you bring him back. Jackson will follow you guys back here."
Sage nodded and the four were off. They had on and off conversation on their way to the club, but Sage was too busy planning their escape. They had to get Danny and get out as quickly they could, hoping and praying that they would beat Jackson there.
-
Stepping inside the club, Sage already knew where she was. The boys and Seraphina however seemed very confused. Sage looked at their faces and couldn't help but laugh. She and Lydia had been here a few times throughout the summer and judging from the three faces in front of her, they didn't even know this place existed.
"I'm guessing you guys have never seen the inside of a gay club?" Sage said it so casually Stiles and Scott didn't process it at first.
"Everyone here is a dude." Scott said finally taking in the surroundings.
"Wow nothing gets passed those teen werewolf senses of yours huh Scottie boy." Sage slapped the side of his shoulder gently before disappearing off into the crowd.
She maneuvered herself through the clusters of people, searching for a familiar face. After about the third odd look she decided to meet the boys and Seraphina back at the bar and regroup. She spotted Scott and Stiles poorly attempting to get a drink and Seraphina rolling her eyes.
"Cokes will be fine for all three of us." Seraphina cut Stiles off before he could argue any further and looked over at Sage pleading.
"Hey Ty, my usual please." She smiles at the familiar bartender and sits on the stool next to Scott.
"One Red Lotus coming up Sage." He spun on his heels after dropping off their cokes and Stiles and Scott stood dumbfounded.
"How did you-" Sage cut him off almost immediately.
"Are you three here to help or watch me do all the work?" She teased and thanked Ty as she got her drink.
They finished their drinks and prepared to go back on the look out for Danny. Scanning the room Scott saw something and tapped them for their attention. Jackson was here, and he was on the ceiling. They were too late.

Back at the McCall Residence Derek and Evangeline were preparing the house. They had no idea what they were preparing it for, but they grabbed everything they could find. After about 20 minutes every weapon available was on the table and they assigned Isaac and Boyd to the back and went outside to sit on the porch and keep watch.
"So you're the big bad alpha now huh?" Evangeline looked over at Derek in an attempt to make conversation.
"Yep." Derek replied dryly.
"What's that like? Knowing all these kids depend on you now." Evangeline picked at the paint on her nails, a nervous habit.
"Lonely."
"Lonely?"
"It's like whatever I do is one me, and now whatever they do, that's on me too. I don't want them getting into anymore trouble that my uncle caused."
"It isn't your fault you know. Your uncle bit them, not you. I don't know all the rules and wolf codes, but I know none of them blame you." Evangeline looked over at him and the monster of a man and the doe-eyed girl locked eyes.
"I know they don't blame me."
"Then don't blame yourself."
