A/N I am oh so sorry that the updates have nearly stopped this last week. I have recently started a new medication which has made me extremely tired and I've been trying my hardest to sleep it off as best I can. The symptoms are supposed to stop after two weeks so hopefully I'll be back to full capacity soon. Happy Holidays! This chapter is my present to you.
After the chaos of the bruises died down, the pack agreed to handle the Isaac situation in the morning. For now, they would try and figure out what the bruises were, if they were anything at all. Sage disappeared down the steps to try and find Seraphina's laptop. From up the steps she could hear her best friends talking.
"I can't believe it healed." Scott was mumbling to himself, clearly still distraught about the tattoo. "And that you said that you hated it."
"Well Scott I could've lied to you, but as a good best friend I didn't. You should really be taking this up with Uncle Cannibal since he's the one who turned you, making the hideous tattoo disappear." Stiles tossed a pencil in the air, wincing as it hit him in the forehead.
"It isn't hideous. Sage thought it looked cool." Scott sounded like a small child whining over sharing a toy and Sage found it absolutely hilarious.
"What are you both whining about now?" Seraphina opened the door, she had just returned from dropping off Lydia and grabbing new clothes for Isaac. She tossed Isaac a shirt and plopped onto the couch.
"When the deer crashed into the Jeep, we were leaving the tattoo shop. Sage and I both got one, but mine healed." Scott ignored the whining comment and leaned back into the chair.
"Well Derek has a tattoo." Seraphina answered calmly, "Why not ask him to help," There was a hint of deviance in her voice.
Sage made her way back up the steps, setting the laptop on the table and gesturing for the group to gather around. She grabbed the sketch that they had made of the markings on the girls arms and started looking for symbols that would match up, yet for some reason, Scott hadn't dropped the tattoo subject.
"Derek you have a tattoo right?" Scott turned to look at Derek, who from the looks of it, did not like where this conversation was going.
"Yes I do." His voice was clean and cold, much like his usual tone.
"How did you do it?" There was curiosity laced in Scott's voice.
"Do you really wanna know?" Derek raised and eyebrow, looking down at his sister, who was smiling devilishly.
"Yes. I do." Scott was oblivious to the siblings shared thought.
"Have a seat." Derek pointed towards the couch and disappeared out of the back door.
Scott did as he was told and waited in confusion, watching the door. Sage ignored the chaos behind her, still searching the internet for the symbol. Stiles and Seraphina made their way to the couch, either to help Scott or make fun of him, and Isaac remained by Sage's side to see if anything helped his memory.
"This is going to hurt." Derek walked in from the back yard and revealed what looked like a very large flame torch lighter. "A lot." He signaled to Seraphina who wrapped her arms around Scott to steady him.
-
"So how does this work?" Sage asked crossing her arms. She was unnerved by the idea of her boyfriend's wound being reopened for something that might not work.
"I stick my claws in the back of his neck and retrieve the memories he doesn't think that he has." Derek's snide attitude was running on Sage's nerves, but she knew it was just the fact that they couldn't find Peter or Erica, and that they lost Boyd in the process.
"Well doesn't that sound fun." Isaac was pacing back and forth, trying to think about anything but what was coming next. "Where did Scott, Stiles, and Seraphina go?"
"They went to a party, to keep up appearances so that we look like normal teenagers, and not that on the full moon my boyfriend has the urge to tear my throat out." Sage stood in front of Isaac, grabbing his arms gently to stop him from moving. "It's gonna be okay."
"How can you be so sure?" Isaac looked down at Sage, leaning his forehead to touch hers, closing his eyes gently. "What if we can't find Boyd."
"We're going to find Boyd." Sage squeezed both of his arms to reassure him a bit.
"I wouldn't be so sure about that sugar." A male voice called from the door, causing all three heads to shoot to attention.
"Give me one good reason why I shouldn't tear your head off right now." Sage nearly growled, which surprised both Derek and Isaac.
"Because your best friend would die just as soon as I did. Nice to see you too by the way." Peter stepped into the loft looking at the three of them, pivoting on his heel for the dramatic entrance. "If Derek tries to retrieve his memories, golden over there is gonna die, and you're going to be oh so heartbroken."
"And you think we're gonna trust you sticking your claws into my neck because?" Isaac wrapped his arm protectively around Sage, still very distrustful.
"Well why wouldn't you trust me?" He raised an eyebrow and acted as if he was offended by the accusation.
"I have a really good reason." Sage looked at him, crossing her arms in distain.
"And what would that be?"
"We don't like you." Derek and Sage said simultaneously, looking at each other with a sly grin at their like minds.
"Oh that's cute, did you practice that?" Peter rolled his eyes dramatically.
"Yeah, this exact thing happens every night in my nightmares." Sage gave him a snide glare before looking over at Derek. "He's not putting his nails anywhere near Isaac."
"Derek's not qualified for this level of being an alpha sweetheart."
"If you call me one more pet name I'm going to-" Sage started, but Isaac stopped her.
"Derek. Is he telling the truth or is this just another one of his lies?" He looked over to the man he had grown to trust for answers.
"It's very dangerous and I try my best to avoid it." Derek admitted.
"That doesn't mean-" Sage was cut off.
"Do it." Isaac's voice was firm. His mind was made up.
"Well then." Peter rubbed his hands together, proud of his accomplishment. "Let's get started shall we?"
A/N I usually never do these but I wanted to apologize for the length of this chapter I thought I had more time but my grandma is literally on her way and I want to get this out before I leave. Happy Holidays I love you all.
