The rangers searched high and low for an intruder, but they never found anyone. There were no clues on how the intruder entered the property or who they were.

Since there were uncertainties, 2 servants and all 4 students who lived in the household were sent home for the time being.

Terry had no injuries while Emily's were quite minimal.

As of now, all of the rangers were sitting in the room with the Shiba house sofas. They were about to commence one of their classic group meetings.

"Listen," Jayden addressed the rangers. "We need to situate ourselves in a way we can protect Terry and Lauren, while keeping the Watanabe family uninvolved with our feud."

"We should consider moving out of here and negotiating with the monks." Jayden told the rangers.

"Do you really think the monks are behind this intruder thing?" To Kevin, everything didn't add up. "The monks were never vicious. They wouldn't try to hurt any of us."

"Terry's condition is highly confidential. Many know he is sick, but only so many know what truly happened to him. As of now, our suspects are limited to that circle." Jayden replied.

"Well, maybe those monks got someone to do it for them." Antonio shrugged. "I don't think any old guy will burst through a window and willingly fight one of us."

"Lauren, what do you think about all of this?" Mike asked her straight up as he massaged Emily's head.

"I don't know." Lauren deadpanned.

Her greatest concern was being a nuisance to the others, putting them in a position where they had to fight for her. She wondered if it would be best to turn herself in.

"Whaat? Usually you have a lot to say in these situations." Mike wasn't the only one who was surprised by Lauren's speechlessness.

It began to sink in that the rangers had no idea what was going on or what to do. Especially now that the people they trusted came into question.

"Sorry to interrupt." Daisuke waved to the rangers while entering the room. This time he wasn't eavesdropping. "Mia, is it okay if I discuss something with you?"

"Sure." Mia got up. "I'll be back."

She followed her grandfather to the back porch, which used to have a beautiful view of the garden. But it was now less colorful in the cold weather.

"I have some bad news and some more bad news with a little good in it. Which would you like first?" Daisuke's tone wasn't as light as it usually was.

"The bad news." Mia hoped that the good-bad news would seem better after hearing the bad-bad news.

"We received a letter from the monks, written to the red ranger. It has their signature seal on it, so it truly is from them." Daisuke handed her the letter. "They're requesting his presence, and his presence alone."

"Why only him? They know he's injured." Mia began to read the letter. "It almost sounds like they want him defenseless."
