66 - Meltdown / Lightning

"Ooh aah ooh!! This is bad! Bad! Bad! Bad!" Octoroo freaked out, pacing the ship with his stubby feet.

"It's all falling into place, just like you said." Serrator grinned at Velos, ignoring Octoroo's meltdown.

Velos chuckled under his breath. He kept what he found funny to himself, but Serrator knew just why he laughing.

The atmosphere was hostile but oddly amusing for the two nighlok.

Serrator slipped his sword out of its sheath. "My apologies for doubting that you could lure Xandred into the human world. Although I can't think of one possible reason as to why you would keep the black ranger's existence from me."

"I always keep my word. Even a word to the enemy." Velos snatched his bow off the floor and slung his quiver of arrows around his shoulder. "

Serrator failed to hold back his ghoulish laughter. "Are you trying to convince me that you are simply honest? You only do as it benefits you."

"I'd keep or break a promise for my pride." Velos flicked an arrow out of his quiver and aimed it at Serrator.

Velos continued, "But I'm not concerned about my pride in the least, because you had no intention of staying true to our agreement. I knew you would try to get rid of me the second Xandred slipped through a crevice."

"I knew you were aware of my intentions." Serrator widened his stance, firming grasping his sword. "But you have to understand, I could never believe you would be satisfied serving me for eternity. Not with a head like yours."

Octoroo watched the two prepare to face off. He knew immediately that this was the perfect time to pick a side in Master Xandred's favor.

"Step aside before I kill you." Velos threatened Serrator.

"I'll give you the first hit."

A great crash shook the earth and turned the sky pitch black.

"What's happening?!" Lightning wildly crackled in the dark sky.

"It can't be..." Jayden's heart sunk as he quickly called Ji.

"I think it is." Lauren remained next to Jayden. Their eyes were locked on each other and their expressions looked as if the life was sucked out of them.

"What?" Mike read their expressions, but couldn't read their minds.

"Jayden!" Ji's voice through the phone was so loud that the others heard it as well. "This is a sign of Xandred! From the looks of the storm, he may be by the shore!"

"What about Mia and Antonio? They have to go home." Kevin reminded him. He was holding Mia while Mike was holding Antonio.

"Lauren, take them home. You're not in a good shape and you can't be seen by Xandred." Jayden ordered, considering Lauren's injuries.

"Jayden, if I hide, he'll seek me out." Lauren argued. "So let's seal Xandred away today and end the fight. I can do it."

Jayden was in disbelief. The day he dreaded the most had finally come.

"Seal Xandred?" Kevin and the other rangers weren't aware that Master Xandred would be sealed.

Only Antonio knew. And Emily came close to knowing but didn't bother looking into it further.

"Mike..." Jayden's voice was emotional. "Take Mia and Antonio home. The rest of you, follow me."

"We are going to face Xandred."
