Mia and Kevin laid on the beds in the medical room. Kevin was half asleep as Mia was out cold.
Jayden, Mike, and Emily anxiously watched from the corners of the room as Lauren unwrapped Mia's bandages.
None of the rangers knew Lauren. They hadn't seen her in action as the black ranger, so they were quite perplexed by her presence. But they all silently agreed that introductions were more appropriate later.
All of their eyes widened with shock and disgust as Lauren revealed blood red lacerations that intersected each other on Mia's back.
Lauren peeled back bandages on her neck to reveal bruises.
"Let's go." Mike took Emily's hand and pulled her out of the room. He felt nauseous from the sight and knew that Emily would be frozen still until somebody moved her away.
The rangers had wanted to take Mia to a hospital, but there was no way they could make an excuse for all of her wounds.
"I called up some medics from our family before we headed home. They've been rushing so they'll be here any second." Lauren told the Jayden.
Lauren had blue eyes like Jayden's. The only difference was the fiery hues of orange gold that would extend from her pupils occasionally.
Her cheekbones were as defined as Jayden's. She also had the same exact lips and jaw as him.
It seemed that the blonde genes didn't take her as dark black locks hovered over her shoulder.
"I should clean her up. I hope she didn't get infected." Lauren spoke calmly.
Her demeanor was always collected and cool as a cucumber. Though she often seemed silent, she wasn't shy.
Lauren was unafraid of speaking her mind. The few times she would speak would be without any filter.
Lauren often came across as cold and unfeeling since she never expressed her feelings. But she was sweet and always had pure intentions.
Even though Lauren struggled with noticing other people's emotions, she could tell that Jayden was on the verge of tears.
"Lauren..." Jayden's voice broke. He felt so emotional seeing her after they'd been separated for years. Her presence brought back good and bad memories. Not to mention he was scared and overwhelmed by Mia's condition.
Lauren didn't know how to react to Jayden's emotions so she just patted his shoulder and returned her focus to Mia. "I need you to go now. You're hurt too so you shouldn't be standing anyway."
"Right." Jayden smiled at Lauren's awkward behavior. It was oddly comforting and made him feel very happy and nostalgic.
"Mia!" Antonio ran into the room, pushing past everything to get by her side. He didn't even notice that Lauren the stranger was there.
Antonio's heart dropped when he saw Mia's injuries. He quickly whipped out his samuraizer, began to type the symbol he had been practicing all day.
When Lauren realized what symbol he was attempting, she immediately slapped the samuraizer out of his hand.
"What are you doing?!" Antonio yelled furiously at the stranger.
