75 - Arachnion / Perish

"Visitors?!" Arachnion sucked her teeth in disappointment and also surprise.

She was sure that the rangers would not be able to find her location. She was in a remote area in the woods and the brides were well hidden.

"Terry!" Kevin yelled as he saw him barely conscious and bloody in Arachnion's clutches. He was in the pink ranger suit, but somehow his helmet was knocked off.

Terry was relieved to hear Kevin's voice. He smiled weakly, hoping to give the rangers some hope that he'd be okay.

"Ah, I understand." Arachnion laughed a little too hard to be deemed stable. "You know this pink ranger. She led you all to me and you want her back."

"So what if I did this?" Arachnion hovered the point of her venomous tail over the back of Terry's neck. "It's poison!"

The rangers stood still, unsure of what to do and panicking.

Terry seemed a bit too calm, but the truth was he didn't know how to react either.

"Don't worry, I'm only playing with you all. But I'm sure your faces look crazy under those helmets!" Arachnion laughed.

The truth is, there is a limit to the power of her venomous tail. Arachnion had to carefully select who she wanted to poison.

Mike and Antonio shared the same reaction, both of them clenching their teeth and growling under their breaths.

"Put Terry down and fight us!" Mike called out angrily.

"Okayyy, but 5 against 1 seems unfairrr." Arachnion pouted. "Maybe I'll just delete one."

With half of her might, Arachnion launched Terry towards the portal she created to the other world.

"No!"

"Terry!"

Antonio and Kevin quickly caught on to Arachnion's movements and dashed as fast as they could to catch Terry.

The brides gasped, praying that they would make it to him.

On the other hand, Jayden and Mike charged after Arachnion, prepared to kill the monster.

A collective desperation and rage overtook the rangers, and poured into all of their movements.

It felt like everything was moving in slow motion as Kevin watched Terry's body approach the other world.

"We're not going to make it?" Kevin whispered to himself as if he was questioning the reality of it all.

Would Terry become a nighlok the second he went through the portal? Would Terry spread fear and misfortune? Would the rangers have to kill him some day?

Antonio desperately reached out to grab Terry. He stretched out his arm to the point where it felt like it'd pop right off his shoulder.

But he wasn't even close.

"No!" Antonio cried as he helplessly watched Terry go through the portal.

Once through, Terry's body instantly lost momentum and fell onto sand by the Sansu.

Terry accepted death, saying his sorries and goodbyes. The assumption was that his body would immediately perish like Tiana and Zarah.

He was surprised to find that his body didn't react to being in the other world.

He could escape.

The only problem was that he was already injured and barely conscious.

He tried, but he couldn't bring his body to move even though his life was on the line.
