As the light finally escape the room, I saw Ulysses' warm smile again for the longest time. His eyes were sparkling as the sun reflected to them.

This is also the first time I saw what the whole room looked like, broken glass and vases everywhere. Shattered paintings, gunshots all over, ripped bed sheet, and some dried flowers on the ground that seemed to have been there since years ago.

"From now on, stop trying to face everything alone. Stop trying to prove yourself that you can do anything without someone's help. We people aren't born to be alone, we need others in order to live. Don't be scared to lean on someone when you feel so helpless. And this time, I want you to lean on me just like what you did when I needed you the most. You proved to me that love isn't just about happy memories, love is also about forgiveness, sacrifices, and hardships. And I willing to experience all of that with you. You made me realized that the freedom I ever wanted is nothing when you are not with the one you love. And that I can't be able to move on from my past if I won't embrace what I think was wrong. You taught me to be strong, to know what I really want, and to always follow my heart. Ngayon gusto ko ikaw naman. Ikaw naman ang sumubok, it's your turn to face everything you're scared of if you don't want to lose in this battle we all called life"

I smiled as the light coming from the window at my back shines more brightly.

Lumakad ako palapit kay Ulysses and even without saying anything I understood what he meant. He was already tired of running away, so this time I will be with him while facing all of his battles. I am not a damsel in distress, rather I am the kind of princess who can fight alongside her prince in all armors and suits in any battle to victory.

I let Ulysses lay down on my lap as I carressed his hair while he is sleeping soundly. From the way I see it, he is very sleep deprived. He is also very weak to the point that he can barely sit.

I looked at his peaceful sleeping face with a smile on my lips before I heard a soft knock on the door, and it slowly opened.

Nakita kong unti unting sumisilip ang mukha nina Bronze at Eugene kasama ng iilang mga armadong sundalo marahil tinatansya ang sitwasyon. Pero nang makita nila akong nakaupo sa kama habang si Ulysses naman ay nakahiga sa paa ko, halata sa mga mukha nilang nabunutan sila ng tinik at napahinga ng maluwag. Hindi ko naitago ang mahinang pagtawa ko, halatang takot na takot ang mga reaksyon nila na baka kung ano na ang nangyari.

When Eugene finally realized that the situation is not dangerous anymore, inutusan niya ang mga lalake na ibaba ang kanilang nga baril at tuluyan na silang pumasok dito sa loob.

"So I see you've finally tamed the beast" Bronze jokingly said trying to uplift the atmosphere.

I can't say anything so I just shook my head and smiled.

"Is he really okay now?" Eugene asked still nervous.

Tumango ako. "Yup. He's fine now."

Bronze put his palm on his mouth in so much awe. "H-How did you do this?" gulat niyang tanong na tila ngayon palang naiinternalized ang lahat. "You are really scaring me honey. Ibang klase ka"

Maging si Eugene ay natawa nalang rin. "The power of love is indeed the most terrifying Bronze" he said smiling so peacefully looking at Ulysses.

We talked about what happened for awhile before Eugene called Mr. Del Real that everything is successful. Then everyone outside came inside this room in tears. Halatang kabadong kabado sila.
