-3rd person POV-
James sat quietly on the sofa in the common room,staring blankly at the fireplace
He wondered if Sirius would be mad about what him and Yn had discussed earlier..surely Sirius would help them,I mean Regulus is his little brother after all
James couldn't look away from the orange flames that sparked as he heard a crash behind him,sighing silently he turned and furrowed his eyebrows at the small rat running around,going through the empty drawers near the stairs
"Peter?" James whispered,standing up and walking over to the rat,he examined it and squealed,jumping back and running up the stairs as he realised it was Peter,just a normal rat
Remus walked into the common room not long after,he seemed happy,probably cause of Sirius trying to kiss him at the party
James wondered what Remus would do when he found out that Sirius made out with another guy,he wondered if his two idiot best friend would end up together like him and Yn did
Oh Yn,all he did was think about her
"Hey Prongs" Remus smiled,walking up the stairs with a little skip in his steps
James smiled at his best friend,chuckling as Remus nearly slipped over
"Hey Moony" he smirked "where have you been?" James asked and watched as Remus blushed a crimson red,his eyes seeming to stay focused on the window in front of him
"I...if you must know I was with Sirius" Remus says calmly thought he looked like he wanted to jump up and down and celebrate
James smiled,he knew Remus and Sirius had mutual feelings for each other,he just wondered when Yn would let him get the two together
"We're you studying?" James joked "don't tell me...you were reading?" He joked again
Sirius was practically allergic to school work or reading,I guess it just wasn't his thing
"As a matter of fact yes" Remus said which confused James
Remus jogged into the boys dorm room,running back out a few seconds later with three books
"I've gotta go,I've got a study date with Yn" Remus smiled and James scoffed,he knew it wasn't actually a date but he still felt weird whenever Remus or Yn would call it that
"Why can't I come?" James asked for at least the millionth time in the past year
"Because all you'll do is stare at Yn and try to distract her" Remus answered once again "it's not happening" he repeated before quickly rushing out of the common room
