I noticed that I have roughly 10% of readers that identify as male, and while looking at this, I figured it wasn't quite fair for you guys to have to read things like "(h/c) haired girl" or "woman" etc. So, this is my attempt at a male reader yandere one-shot. As I am not male - nor identify that way - feel free to give me pointers on anything I did that may be improved or that I completely misunderstood.

Similarly, I do have plans for other male readers and non-binary gendered readers/yanderes in the future, including Kota Kita who is gender-fluid.

A lengthy desert stretched out for hundreds of miles with seemingly hollow life and empty promises. However, such things were the thoughts of foolish ignorance. For the desert was absolutely beautiful with lush life able to survive such an arduous climate. Beauty and strength coincided within the sands of history, the sight of a rare flower bringing peace to one's very soul. They said that if you could find the crystal flower within the Vallea Desert, you would become immortal, a valuable grain of sand in the vast and precious dessert.

Within this desert lay a civilization, flourishing and bustling. The market vendors haggled prices with customers, children ran amock with wooden toys in their hands, and women flitted fans to their faces, attempting to cool down from the lovable but irritable sun. Yet despite that, a jewel was locked away in a dark room, the sun not shining on his beautiful facets and preventing him from shining with splendor. He was kept there, his interactions limited, his day already scheduled for him, and even the food he ate strictly relegated.

He sighed with boredom, the servants guarding the door ignoring his sighs. So he huffed and leaned back on the chaise, opening his mouth to be fed grapes. The servants near him obliged, pampering him but not speaking to him, treating him as a prince in his own right. Of course, he was not, but he may as well have been with the amount of favoritism the king gave him. It was also the reason he was guarded so fiercely, his very existence drawing the eyes of anyone around him.

The door behind him opened suddenly, a few others in his position walking quickly towards him. They snickered and kneeled down to the chaise, beginning to play with the male's curly hair or press their thumbs to his lips. He was so beautiful, it was hard not to caress him even despite the sovereign stating he should be untouched. So, as their hands wandered, the male simply accepted it but did not address it.

"Akher, we have a very handsome foreigner on the balcony with the king. He's very powerful. Rich, too."

"I heard he was a ruler, too. Maybe a king or something. He's got a lot of gold with him. Did you want to meet him?"

The males chuckled, noting the dirty blonde's great interest in something unusual within the palace's walls. He tilted his head up, his eyes possessing a gleam to them. It only amused the males further, the boys mischievously pulling him up from the chaise and tugging him out of the room. Though the boy was quite surprised that the guards didn't stop him from leaving, he certainly wasn't against it.

With great excitement, he ran even ahead of the other males, his bare feet pressing against the tiled floors as he bounded along the hallway. The other two snickered and guided him towards the balcony, his father waiting there obediently on his knees, quiet and still, just as the king liked it. The man was just as pretty as his son, having soft features and kind eyes, unusual bright colored hair, and ruby red eyes. The king always said that he was like a treasure, everything about him resembling gold and jewels. It was probably why he was the most favored concubine.

"What are you doing?" the boy's father questioned with a hushed but frightened voice, "You're supposed to be in your room. Please go. Please?"

"I thought I had told you to be quiet in the presence of a guest!"
