The black-haired man gave an annoyed tsk, watching as his wife pressed a ten-year-old boy's head into the ground. She was highly displeased as well, irritated enough to work up an appetite. Turning to the domestic behind her, she grabbed tightly to the back of his head and tugged it to the side, giving her easier access to his neck. He let out a small grunt as her fangs pierced his skin, but the pain was minimal thanks to the healing powers her kind's saliva provided. When she drank her fill, she gave a sigh, releasing from the man and letting his bite mark fade away within the blink of an eye.

She then sat down, crossing one leg over another while her husband, a recently-turned greed demon, thought of what to do with the boy. When they kidnapped him, they thought they would be able to put a leash on his father, the king of the human land they remained on. He had been acting rashly, going to the temple in an attempt to kill the vampiress. But when they informed him of his only son's imprisonment, he simply replied in a letter that he would "make do", practically leaving the burden's life in their hands.

"Useless," the ravenette growled, kicking the boy harshly in the stomach before bashing his head into the ground, "So, what? We kill him? That just makes everything we've worked for go down the drain. And Dryden has all those damn saints around him twenty-four-seven!"

"There's no harm in keeping him around a little longer. His blood is valuable."

"Then give him to the domestics."

At the sound of that, the (h/c) haired girl, who had been waiting not so patiently behind the door, burst through. She bounced excitedly, her appetite growing by the moment. It didn't help that the smell of blood still lingered off of her mother's favorite domestic. Her mouth drooled as she stared up at him, the man giving a gentle smile at the little marquess. Looking to his mistress, he silently asked for permission, the woman pausing before nodding. She then turned back to her husband's angry ranting as (Y/n) was picked up.

"Who'd you eat?" she asked excitedly, smelling the air for a hint.

"One of the thralls. It must have been one of that boy's guardians."

"Hmm?" the young girl hummed, her voice muffled as she dug her fangs into the man's skin, "What boy?"

The man winced terribly. He felt immense pain, the little parasite thoroughly enjoying her meal. In fact, like many other of her mealtimes, she preferred not to pick one specific point to take blood from. Rather, she very much liked picking new points to drink from. Unfortunately, she was too young to have developed the special enzyme to stimulate healing. Instead, she, like many other young vampires, injected something that made the blood harder to clot, allowing more blood to flow from the holes she made in one of the domestic's skin. As such, when it came to feeding time, no one liked being at the receiving end of her meal.

"A prince, my lady," the man groaned, becoming dizzy while his limbs turned stiff.

"He's still alive?"

Turning her head to look at the prince, the girl sighed. Humans didn't last long in their mansion. The only thing they were was food. Unless they were deemed worthy enough to be turned into a demon, or even more impressive - a vampire - they were disposed of. Most of the thralls - the human food sources - didn't last a week. But she had known about the prince for a few weeks. Of course, he wasn't in the best shape, but the point was that he wasn't drained dry just yet. She supposed it was more interesting than most things in the mansion.

"Mm, did I take too much, Mannix?" she hummed, being set down gently on the ground, "Should I bring you a thrall?"

"I'll be fine, my lady."

The girl shrugged and watched as the prince was dragged away. Curiously, she peeked out of the door, wondering what they were going to do with him, but she was tugged back by her mother. The woman set the girl on her lap and began to comb her hair, finding it a little difficult to keep her still. Like most vampires her age, particularly of the female variety, the only thing she wanted to do was eat, eat, and eat. And while that feeling didn't go away, at least when they were older it was far easier to deal with the hunger.
