They cried, yet smiled, while holding each other in a tight embrace. The world seemed to have disappeared from around them. They themselves seemed to have disappeared as they melted into each others embrace.

Their bodies were moulded together in such a way that there was no gap in between them. Anirudh was caressing her hair lovingly. He wanted to feel every strand of her hair, every inch of her skin. His hands ran down her back as he held her to him.

Bondita's breathing quickened as she felt his hand on her bare lower back. The goosebumps that were previously there from the cold, had transformed into a different kind with the warmth of his touch. His hand was protecting her skin from the rain.

Anirudh caressed her back lovingly with one of his hands, while the other hand held the back of her head, the lower end of his palm resting on the side of her face, shielding her from the cold.

After a long time, they broke the embrace. Her hair was stuck to his face as she pulled away, and Anirudh moved it out of the way, so he could look into her eyes, before moving his hand back down to her lower back.

Even though they had broken the hug, Bondita's arms were still wrapped around him loosely, and Anirudh's hands also gripped her back, unwilling to let go of her completely.

She looked up in his eyes, the rain pouring down over them hard. Anirudh brought one hand up to her cheek, wiping the raindrops that had fallen on her skin.

He smiled at her, and she smiled back at him. They were lost in each others eyes like this for a few moments, when another roar of thunder disturbed them.

Bondita looked up at the sky as the rain poured down on them even harder.

Anirudh just looked at Bondita, smiling. Although the rain was able to help them focus better, it couldn't change the alcohol level in their blood. They were still quite drunk.

"We should go now," Anirudh murmured.

"Not yet Pati Babu!" Bondita said, and then let go of him fully.

She started to spin around in the rain, and Anirudh just watched her with a smile.

"Bondita you'll -- you'll get sick," he said to her, trying not to slur his words.

She just began to dance. She took his hand and pulled him forward, trying to get him to dance with her.

Anirudh laughed. He twirled her around, making her giggle.

The two of them began to dance just like this, just like little kids, enjoying each other's company and the rain. They held hands and spun each other around, having a lot of fun.

Finally, Bondita grew tired and she fell forward onto Anirudh, resting her face on his chest. He massaged her head gently, smiling.

"Let's go to the car now Bondita," he finally said.

The rain was showing no signs of stopping, and he really didn't want Bondita to get sick.

She pulled back and looked around the road.

"I'm walking home, remember Pati Babu?" she informed him.

"Come on Bondita," Anirudh said, and took off his coat, wrapping it around her shoulders so that she wouldn't get cold. "You can walk home another time."
