"How do you know for sure Da?" Binoy asked after Trilochan announced that Bahu was pregnant, "There are many reasons someone could throw up."

"Binoy, I've never seen Bahu throwing up like this in the morning. Pregnant women get morning sickness, like Sampoorna Bahu does," Trilochan pointed out. "But don't mention this to Anirudh yet. I don't want him to get upset. We have to handle him carefully."

Even though he knew they ought to consult a doctor first, for Trilochan Roy Choudhary, this was already confirmed. It had been almost two months since Anirudh and Bondita had spent that night together at the hut where Bondita herself had confirmed that she and Anirudh had become one, and now his Bahu was throwing up! This was the biggest sign of pregnancy!

"How could Bondita do this?" Sampoorna was muttering under her breath. "She didn't seem to be in that kind of relationship with Anirudh. And didn't she get her menstrual period two weeks ago, or did she pretend so that she didn't have to work in the kitchen?"

In the bathroom, Anirudh asked Bondita, "Do you want to skip school today?"

"No Pati Babu!" Bondita said with a loud gasp.

"But you don't seem well," Anirudh said to her softly.

"I'm fine Pati Babu!" she said, and took his hand. "Won't you drop me?"

Anirudh sighed and nodded.

"Let's go, but eat properly first," he told her.

"I'll eat on the way. I'm really fine," she said, and lead him outside back to the dining area.

When they entered the dining hall, Kaka was smiling widely. Anirudh frowned, noticing his expression. What was he so happy about?

"Are you okay Bahu?" Trilochan asked.

"Yes Kakasasurji, but I have to go to school now," she said, and picked up two kachoris; one for herself, and one for her Pati Babu.

"School? But Bahu, I don't think that's a good id-" Kaka started.

"Kaka, we don't have time," Anirudh interrupted, and pulled on Bondita's hand. "Bihari, get me the car keys. I'll drive Bondita to school today."

The school was barely a fifteen minute walk, but they didn't have any time to waste today.

When they got in the car, Anirudh started to drive, and Bondita lifted a kachori to his lips. He took a bite and then Bondita brought the same kachori to her lips, feeling the place where he bit it and blushing.

They had shared food many times before, but the idea of the same food touching his lips and then hers was something that was making butterflies fly in her stomach.

Anirudh was too distracted in trying to get Bondita to school to notice this. She brought the kachori back to his mouth as he took another bite.

"Bondita, tell your teacher that there was an emergency," Anirudh explained, as he chewed. "You know what, I'll talk to them."

"It's fine, Pati Babu. They'll understand," Bondita insisted. "I'm the topper!"

Anirudh grinned when she said this. He could hear this over and over again and never get bored.

"You eat Bondita," he urged as she brought the kachori back to his lips. "I can eat when I get home."

Bondita blushed and she said, "I'm eating Pati Babu."
