177 - The Shakti in Her Eyes

This is the third update today! I didn't want to leave you all on that emotional note. 🥺

Spree started from chapter 175. I might even post another chapter, but please get all the parts of the spree to 450+ stars so I know that you're reading all of them.

Thakumaa looked at Anirudh after he signed the papers. He was shaking on the floor, as if he was unable to hold himself together. She could feel her heart drop, as she wondered exactly what this man was feeling. 

"You made the right decision," she told him, taking the papers from him. 

Anirudh was still on the floor, unable to get up. He had no more willpower left. 

"T - Thakumaa... if you can, then let Bondita study... let her live her life the way she wants to... keep her happy..." he made a final request. 

Thakumaa eyed him, her heart hurting when she saw his state. 

"And you? What will you do?" she asked him. 

Why did she ask him that, she didn't know. Perhaps because somewhere, that old affection remained for him. 

Anirudh looked up at Thakumaa, his eyes red, looking like his soul had left his body. 

"I don't know..." he just said. 

"Then go... go from here..." she said, because she couldn't see him on the floor like this any longer. 

Anirudh slowly got up and started to make his way out. Before he exited though, he turned around and told Thakumaa, "Anytime a Bondita exists, there will be an Anirudh who exists with her. An Anirudh to drive out the darkness in her life, who would self-destruct so that she can live. I just wanted to tell you this Thakumaa." 

Then he walked away, leaving Thakumaa to watch him go, her hardened heart feeling like it could melt even more.

It was the morning, when Bondita woke up. 

The whole family was around her, as Thakumaa was applying some kind of new medication on her leg. 

"Thakumaa, where's Pati Babu?" Bondita asked, remembering that he had been with her last night.

Did Thakumaa drive him out yet again?  

"Oh Bondita, you're awake!" Chandrachur's voice said, and Bondita turned to frown at Chandrachur. 

Why was he here again? 

Thakumaa got up from the bed and went to get the papers that Anirudh had left her with. 

"Your Pati Babu signed papers to nullify your marriage. Now you sign," Thakumaa ordered, giving the papers to Bondita which had Anirudh's signature.

Bondita looked at the papers with shock.

What was this? Why would her Pati Babu sign such papers? They were definitely his signature, but why?  

"What is this nonsense?!" she screamed, and got up from the bed, limping to a vase and throwing it on the ground, making Thakumaa jump as it loudly shattered to pieces on the ground.

One of the pieces landed on Chandrachur's foot and caused it to scratch, making him yelp in pain. 

"ARGH!" he screamed. 

Just how much did he have to suffer for Bondita? 

"Jamai Babu!" Rimjhim yelled, rushing to his aid.
