So much for the possessive romance that was going on.

As soon as Bondita said, "fuck" it all went down the drain, and Anirudh looked at her with an absolutely horrified face.

She was normally bold. She normally didn't get shy. But right now she was extremely embarrassed for what she just said in front of him. Things had gotten so heated up, that in the moment, it just slipped out.

"Romance novels?" Anirudh demanded, "You read more of them?"

Bondita gulped nervously.

"Bondita!" Anirudh yelled.

"Yes... so what?" she asked, avoiding his gaze.

"You didn't tell me this," he told her.

Bondita furrowed her eyebrows and said, "If I told you, would you encourage it?"

"No!" he told her, frowning.

"Exactly," she huffed.

Anirudh tried to take a deep breath. He kept on telling himself that his innocent Bondita still didn't get influenced by the ways of this world, but she had even learned about swear words now.

What else was left

It was true that she had mentioned how she stumbled upon swear words in her romance novel, once when he said 'darn', but something like 'fuck'? Those weren't just romance novels she was reading, they were probably erotic ones!

"Where did you get this one?" he demanded, "That English store?"

Bondita nodded slowly, knowing that if she even brought up Batuk's name, he would be shredded apart, so she was going to do whatever she could to protect him.

"When?" he demanded. "I thought you only read the one book!"

"After... when... I went to get the nightie," she lied, looking down.

She felt bad for lying to him, but there was no way that Batuk would survive this one if she didn't. Anirudh was already displeased with him over his marks. This revelation could really put a wedge between them.

Anirudh breathed sharply, running a hand through his hair.

"Did I say something wrong?" she asked with a frown, "Why can they say these words freely in the novels, but you're behaving like this when I say it in person?"

"Bondita, it's not that you said something wrong! I just thought... it's just... you're my baby!" he told her, sounding sad.

Bondita didn't know whether to blush or feel offended. She loved it when he called her his baby in a romantic way, but right now, he was behaving like she really was a baby!

"I'm not a baby!" she said defensively.

"You are! You're my baby!" he told her, like he was in a state of shock.

Bondita pouted. He said it with so much love, that it was even hard to feel offended by this.

"I'm not a baby anymore! I'm not a child anymore!" she told him.

"Bondita... don't you know this? That you'll always be my baby, you'll always be my child, no matter how much you grow," he told her softly, and he cupped her cheeks in his hands. "I'll always care for you like that."
