A/N: Title is once again from the song - Sad Song by We The Kings

Bondita and Vikram walked towards the gates, while Anirudh was waiting behind it. As they approached, he could hear their words.

"Let me drop you home," Vikram was saying.

"No Vikram, I'll go home on my own," Bondita said kindly.

"How about cotton candy?" Vikram asked with a grin.

"Batuk will be so jealous," Bondita giggled.

"It'll be our secret," Vikram offered, and Bondita smiled at him.

"Let's go then," Bondita agreed.

Anirudh hid behind the gate, feeling a pang in his chest. His Bondita was so happy with Vikram. She was smiling and giggling, even eating cotton candy with him. She had secrets with him. She didn't even feel the urge to run home to him, her Pati Babu, when she was with Vikram.

He felt tears hit his eyes hard, as he walked behind them.

The two teenagers reached the cotton candy stand and ordered cotton candy. Anirudh watched as Vikram paid for it. When the first cotton candy was ready, Vikram handed it to Bondita, like a gentleman.

"He's such a good boy," Anirudh whispered, and this was hurting his heart even more. He had no reason to pull Bondita away from him.

"Thank you Vikram!" Bondita said gratefully, waiting for him to get his cotton candy. "You're always so nice to me."

"You're my best friend Bondita, why won't I be nice to you? Who's mean to their friends?" Vikram asked with a laugh.

"That's true," she laughed.

"By the way, I know a good spot to eat this," Vikram said with a grin, as he took his cotton candy from the vendor.

"Where?" she asked curiously.

"Close your eyes! It's a surprise," Vikram said.

"Surprise?" she asked, as she closed her eyes. "Which way do I walk?"

"Can I hold your hand?" Vikram asked.

Bondita just held her hand out so he could take it and lead her.

Anirudh watched all this and felt tears prickle his eyes. If he wasn't so concerned about where Vikram was taking Bondita, Anirudh would have run from there already and cried in some quiet corner.

He followed as Vikram took Bondita to a small park. Her eyes were still closed, her cotton candy in hand.

"Open your eyes!" Vikram said gleefully, and Bondita looked around.

"I've been here before!" Bondita told him with a smile, sitting down on a bench.

Vikram sat down next to her and said, "You're the most special girl in my life! Well, apart from my mom and sister! I wanted you to enjoy the view here."

Each and every word Vikram was saying was hurting Anirudh more and more.

The scenery was very beautiful. There were different kinds of trees and flowers all over, with a small pond in the middle where ducks were swimming.

"Vikram, I think I'm the only girl in your life apart from your family," she pointed out, laughing.

Vikram laughed too.

"That's true. You know Bondita, there's something I wanted to tell you," Vikram admitted.

"What is it?" she asked curiously.
