Bondita nervously looked at her Pati Babu, as he stared at her in horror. She hadn't cleared it with her Kakasasurji yet that a child wasn't coming. She didn't realize that it could be such a big deal! After all, her Kakasasurji was too old to play with the baby, so why should it matter so much?

"Bondita, what is Kaka saying?" Anirudh demanded, staring at her with wide eyes.

Trilochan just stepped forward and placed his hand on Bondita's shoulder.

"Don't take it out on my Bahu," he huffed. "She's already in such a fragile state. She needs to remain cared for and happy during these months."

Bondita gulped.

"Bondita!" Anirudh demanded, "Do you know why Kaka is saying this?"

"Of course she knows!" Kaka answered, "She was the one who told me! Bahu, have you not told your Pati Babu yet that he's going to be a father?"

Anirudh's mouth fell open.

Father? Him? How?

"Kakas - sasurji..." she stammered, "I... I didn't tell him b- because..."

"I'm not going to be any father!" Anirudh screamed, turning to glare at his Kaka. "It's impossible!"

Bondita gulped again.

"Anirudh! Being a father is not your choice! It just happens!"

"It doesn't happen if nothing like that has happened between us!" Anirudh bellowed. "Babies don't magically come out of nowhere!"

At the mention of this, his Kaka's face turned pale. Bondita curiously looked up at her Pati Babu. Was he going to tell her more details about where babies came from now?

"What?" Kaka asked, then turned to look at Bondita. "Bahu, you two had your suhagraat already, didn't you? You told me it was successful!"

Bondita nodded slowly.

"Yes Kakasasurji," Bondita said, "But I'm not --"

"No suhagraat happened!" Anirudh screamed. "Nothing happened between us!"

"No, but I heard..." Kaka said, his face pale, and lowered his voice. "I heard the bed... shaking... And the bed was broken. The state of the room..."

Anirudh pressed his hand against his forehead.

"Kaka, we were jumping on the bed so we broke it!" Anirudh exclaimed.

Kaka's furrowed his eyebrows. Jumping? His son and his Bahu were jumping on the bed? Were they toddlers? Why would they do such a thing?

"Is this true Bahu?" he asked, turning to look at Bondita, and she nodded slowly.

"Then the broken bangles?" Kaka asked.

"My Pati Babu threw them on the ground because they were hurting me!" Bondita explained.

"So nothing happened?" Kaka asked, a heartbroken expression on his face. "In the whole last three months, nothing happened?"

"Yes Kaka, nothing happened!" Anirudh exclaimed.

"Even when you two were staying together... nothing?" Kaka asked, sounding like he was in a shock.

"What's supposed to happen?" Bondita asked.

"She doesn't even know!" Kaka announced with a wail. "Anirudh! She doesn't even know? How did she get pregnant?"

"I'm not pregnant Kakasasurji!" Bondita said, "I was wrong!"

Anirudh turned to look at Bondita.

"Bondita, why did you think you were pregnant?" he asked, furrowing his eyebrows.

"I thought that's what happens in suhagraats," Bondita answered, gulping.

Anirudh recalled the words of Niyati from earlier that day, then Manika's words as well.

"Did... everyone know this? Except me?" Anirudh demanded.

Bondita looked down and nodded.

"I told Batuk and Vikram that it's not true!" she told him, "But I didn't get a chance to tell anyone else!"

Even Batuk and Vikram knew that he was going to be the father of an imaginary baby?

"Bondita!" Anirudh said, realizing that he was the one who was at fault here. He should have educated her better. "Come with me!"

"But... my vaaris..." Kaka was saying sadly as Anirudh took Bondita's hand and lead her upstairs to her bedroom.

Trilochan Roy Choudhary had been seeing all these dreams ever since his Bahu told him that she was pregnant, and now all of the dreams were being washed away by tears.

When they entered Bondita's room, Anirudh locked the door and sat her down on the bed. He sat down beside her.

"Bondita, why didn't you tell me that you thought you were pregnant?" he demanded.

"I didn't want to stress you out Pati Babu," Bondita said, looking guilty.

He touched her cheeks gently and turned her face so she looked at him. Despite her misconception, she still thought about him and his stress first?

"Bondita," he said, sounding guilty himself. "You're not pregnant. This is not how pregnancy happens. Didn't Manika explain it to you?"

"But Pati Babu, you said that a baby comes from the love between a husband and a wife. And a suhagraat happens between a husband and a wife!" Bondita explained to him. "Manika Didi just told me that I already knew it all when I told her the bed broke and my bangles broke!"

Anirudh looked at her for a moment, shocked. Why did he think anyone else could be her Shikshak Babu? Just like he couldn't trust anyone else to be her Rakshak, he couldn't trust anyone else to be her Shikshak. He had to be the one to show her the way.

It seemed like nobody cared about her the way he did.

"I will tell you how a baby comes," he told her finally. "I will explain to you how it happens."

"There's more than love?" Bondita asked innocently.

Anirudh took her hands in his and said, "It's a kind of love. But it's more of a chemical reaction."

"Chemistry?" Bondita questioned.

"And biology," he told her. "With a bit of quantum physics mixed in as well, if we go into it deeply."

All of these things were very scientific for her, but she was very curious.

"How does it happen Pati Babu?" Bondita asked.

Anirudh glanced at her, thinking about it. It was his own fault that he hadn't educated her better. He was too afraid of all the consequences of explaining this, that he had kept very key information away from her.

She already had a crush on Vikram, and if he didn't explain these things, what if one day she lost her senses and went and did something that she would regret, just because she was following her body's biological needs? Who would stop her then? She was old enough to know the truth. She was old enough to know how things could impact her body.

And now he would tell her everything

"Bondita, it is called... sex," Anirudh finally uttered the words.

Bondita's eyes widened.

"S - Six?" she asked.

"Sex," he repeated, looking down, his ears turning red.

"What does that mean?" Bondita asked, eager to learn this new subject as well.
