For those of you who don't remember how Bondita's nightgown looks, there's a picture of it in Chapter 107. You can check it out there!

The Bannerjee family and the Das family were making small talk, while Bondita sat down with Tupur. Roopa was somewhere else in the house, cleaning.

Bondita noticed Chandrachur's gaze on them, but she couldn't tell who he was looking at. Perhaps, he was absolutely smitten by Tupur, because he was smiling.

"I think he likes you," Bondita whispered to Tupur.

Tupur just quietly looked down.

After some time, Chandrachur's parents said that they liked Tupur.

"Shall we fix the marriage then?" Thakumaa asked, looking relieved.

Chandrachur's gaze didn't lift from Bondita, while his parents agreed to consult with their pandit and fix the dates of the rituals.

As the elders were speaking about the details, Chandrachur asked, "May I see the haveli?"

"Of course!" Thakumaa said, "Tapur and Bondita can show you."

Chandrachur stood up, looking pleased by the outcome. Both Tapur and Bondita lead him out of the room.

As soon as the three of them were alone, Chandrachur followed beside Bondita, standing quite close to her. He inhaled deeply, feeling intoxicated by the scent of her. She was married, he knew that, but that didn't stop him. She was beautiful.

"Are you not staying with your husband?" Chandrachur asked her, as Bondita lead him up the stairs to show him the roof.

Bondita smiled at the mention of her Pati Babu. She loved talking about him!

"We live in Tulsipur, and I'm only here in Krishnanagar for my school holidays. My Pati Babu is a barrister!" Bondita said excitedly.

"School holidays?" Chandrachur asked. "You attend school?"

"Yes!" Bondita said with excitement. "My Pati Babu put me in school since the age of eleven! I am going to be a barrister one day, just like him!"

"Ah... I see..." Chandrachur said, not liking the idea that she went to school, and definitely not liking the idea of her being a barrister. However, he was deeply fascinated by her talks. He smiled and said, "You seem quite intelligent... Bondita."

Bondita grinned and said, "Thank you!"

They walked in silence for some time, and Chandrachur tried to edge closer to her, wanting to touch her. His fingers were about to lightly graze her hand, when he was interrupted.

"Bondita Didi, I think Roopa is calling you!" Tapur said, pulling on Bondita's hand and beckoning to Bondita's room where they were just crossing.

Bondita saw Roopa smile and indicate for her to come. Chandrachur frowned suspiciously.

"Oh, Roopa might need to ask me something," Bondita said, "Tapur, you continue. I'll join you!"

Bondita rushed towards the room. As soon as she entered, Anirudh pulled her to the side of the open door and pressed her against the wall, making her breath catch in her throat. She was trapped between his arms.

He leaned into her ear and whispered, "I missed you."

Her hands slid around Roopa's waist and she whispered back, "The door's open... if someone comes in?"

He pecked her cheek and murmured, "I can close it."

"It'll look suspicious," Bondita whispered back as his lips found hers.
