Violet was running slightly late to a group lunch because she had just gotten done with teaching her morning class. While walking to the restaurant, Kitty called her.
"You would not believe what just happened."
Violet replied, "Aren't you supposed to be in class right now?"
Kitty groaned, "I have a free period, so let me talk."
"Okay, okay," Violet chuckled.
"Sue just fired Coach Roz."
Violet said in disbelief, "No way. But you guys got through to Nationals? You literally won Regionals and you're the favorites to win."
Kitty explained, "Yeah, but Sue was not happy with the score. She said it was too low, so she was fired."
Violet whistled lowly, "You weren't wrong about Sue going on a rampage."
"It's getting worse too." Kitty added, "She just replaced all of the food in the cafeteria with kale, and now she's terrorizing people constantly."
"Wasn't she doing that before, though?"
"I mean, yeah, but she just bought drones, and I think she's getting dogs," Kitty mentioned.
Violet furrowed her eyebrows, "That feels... illegal."
Kitty sighed, "I mean, apparently, test scores are up. She's already recruiting the best high school football players across the country... I don't think anyone will really care if she's doing stuff like this."
"Did she cut all arts from the curriculum yet?"
"Not completely, but there's, like, nothing here. I think the only thing we really have is marching band and that's just because she thinks they could add to Cheerios routines whenever she wants."
Violet recognized the undertone of sadness in her voice, "I'm sorry, Kitty."
"It's fine. I'm... I'm still singing in church. I'm head Cheerio. I just miss everyone," Kitty tried to suppress her emotions.
"I know," Violet said. "Just know that New York is always an option. You can always come here and tour campuses, and you might just move here with all of us."
Violet could hear the smile in Kitty's voice, "Maybe."
Violet walked into the door of the restaurant, "Well, I have to go. Keep me updated on all of this, okay?"
"Of course."
Violet hung up the phone and sat next to Kurt, "What's up?"
Before anyone could really say anything, Rachel interjected, "Look what I just found on Broadwaybuzzard.com."
