chapter 38: Saturday Night Glee-ver

I totally forgot that it was Thursday so here's the chapter!

Becoming better friends with Blaine meant that he and Violet constantly discovered more similarities between themselves, one of the similarities being that they both love disco. Violet didn't seem like the type to like the genre, but in her eyes, when disco was good, it was really good.

So when Blaine asked her to sing a Bee Gee's duet with him, she couldn't refuse. With the help of Britt and Mike, the two performed "You Should Be Dancing" during Monday's Glee Club rehearsal.

When they hit their final pose, there was sporadic applause coming from their fellow Glee Clubbers which Vi completely expected especially since disco was a controversial genre, but Mr. Schue was beyond excited.

"Wow, guys, what brought this on?"

Blaine explained, "Well, we know this year's nationals theme was 'Vintage,' so we thought we needed something old, but something with a lot of energy."

Violet grinned, "So that's how we came up with disco!"

"Absolutely!" Mr. Schue then turned back to the audience, "I don't know if I ever told you guys this, but back when I was in Glee Club, we took it all the way to Nationals with the pure power of unadulterated disco."

Puck replied, "Um, well, there's only one problem with that idea."

"And what's that?"

Pretty much the rest of the Glee members in the audience, minus Joe, screamed, "Disco sucks!"

After Glee, Violet, Mercedes, and Kurt were all hanging out by Kurt's locker, talking about Mercedes' recent acceptances.

"I'm thrilled you got into Defiance College and Cleveland State, but what about NYU?" Kurt asked as Mercedes rolled her eyes.

Violet suggested, "Then, after I graduate, we'd all be in New York together."
