'Cause this life
doesn't always go
the way it should.
Sometimes bad things
happen to people
that are good.
It's not fair.

Violet screamed out at the Glee Club, "C'mon, guys! I need more from you!"

It was Monday night, and the girl was holding a booty camp since Regionals was nearing closer and closer. Vi was working them harder than they've been worked before, and the New Directions were still not up to her standard. She stood there, inspecting their moves and how they moved as a group when she noticed Mr. Schue walk through the doors.

She let the group finish the last eight counts of the routine she taught them before telling them to take five to get water and for Mr. Schue's announcement. As the group dispersed, her eyes followed Sam who was acting slightly distant the past couple of days.

After the big reveal that she was not only friends with Sebastian but that she was also sleeping with him, Sam hasn't talked to her much, but she summed it up to the fact that Sam didn't particularly like the Warbler. Well, that and the fact that he seemed to be making a larger effort in his relationship with Brittany, so Violet gave him space.

In a way, Sam was thankful that Violet told him that she was sleeping with Sebastian. He thought that it was fate or God preventing him from making the biggest mistake of his life. He had just gotten Violet back, and if he had told her that he was in love with her, Sam just knew that it would wreck their friendship.

He also took it as a sign to keep trying with Brittany, so he put in more effort into being her boyfriend as an attempt to rekindle the flame that had been extinguished. It was going as well as one would think. Brittany would always avoid talking about the hard stuff. Despite that, it seemed like Britt wanted to make an effort.

Sam also knew that this meant that no matter how difficult it was, he had to try to push any and all of his feelings for Violet down until they were nonexistent. He couldn't hurt everyone again. And he figured, if they were truly meant to be, eventually, life would bring them together again.

But not right now.

So when Mr. Schue stood in front of the New Directions with Violet by his side, he tried to make sure that he only looked at the teacher in front of him.

"I hold in my hand, ladies and gentlemen, our competition for Regionals." The 10 of the New Directions that came cheered for the announcement. "Drumroll, please."

"From... North Central High School in Indianapolis, the Hoosierdaddies."

Tina scoffed as everyone reacted, "That's very clever."
