Violet felt hollow. Without Sam, she felt so vulnerable in school. After the events that transpired the night before, Violet put a brave face on and still made sure that Stevie and Stacy had a good time at her house before she dropped them off at the motel. She walked them both to their room, and Mrs. Evans opened the door. She thanked her for helping their family out during this tough time. All Violet wanted was to make up with Sam though. She wished that he was the one to open the door so they could just talk things out. Instead, she saw him lying on the ground, staring up at the ceiling. That night, Violet cried until she physically couldn't anymore.

She walked through the school aimlessly before Glee rehearsal, and she actually came across Finn. Finn waved at her excitedly, "Hey Vi! Guess what?"

Violet put a small smile on her face. "What is it?"

Finn shut his locker and started walking towards the choir room. He was completely oblivious to Violet's drop in mood. "Mike and I have been working on this new dance number that we're gonna do in Glee today, and I'm actually gonna be dancing!"

The pair had entered the choir room, "Well, good luck, and don't hurt anyone else or yourself." Violet then went and sat next to Mercedes and sighed. Sam walked into the choir room and purposely tried to avoid eye contact with her which made Violet's heart break even more.

Mercedes noticed Violet's sullen demeanor, "Hey, what's wrong–"

But before the conversation could really even start, Mr. Schue introduces Mike and Finn's number. The jazz band then started to play the introduction to Sammy Davis Jr's "I Gotta Be Me". Violet tried to smile and be supportive of the guys, but it was so hard. She was in so much pain. Well the number ended, the entire club applauded and cheered for it.

"Alright, Finn! Perfect! See guys? Someone who's not afraid to point out something they're really bad at!"

"But I'm getting better, right?" The entire room was silent. Finn then went to go sit down next to Quinn and Mike next to TIna.

"Mr. Schuester? May I have the floor, please?" Rachel held in her arms a folder which Violet could only assume to be related to her surgery.

"It's yours."

Rachel then went to the center of the room, "So, as all of you know, I've had a few consultations with a doctor who specializes in rhinoplasty–"

Tina interjected, "Yes, we know. That's all any of us have been talking about, and we think it's a terrible idea."

"Okay. Blue eyes, you're such a hypocrite." Rachel rolled her eyes.

"I admit, yet, I don't like my eyes sometimes– The shape, the color. But your self-hatred, Rachel, has helped me see the light."

Rachel was taken aback, "I-I love myself."

"Not enough, clearly. When you get a nose job, when you change your eyes, when you bleach your freckles, you're just announcing to the world, 'I don't like myself very much.' The drams of this week have made me realize if I don't have many Asian sex symbols to look up to, I have an obligation to maybe become one myself. My new mantra is 'Be the change you want to see in the world.'"
