Violet was working in the dance studio before school started again, and she was trying to get down doing complicated dance moves in heels better.

"Knock. Knock." Sam was by the door with his backpack slung on one shoulder.

"Ya know, if you'd just knock, you wouldn't have to waste your breath." Sam just rolled his eyes at this comment.

"But if I say it, then you'll know it's me instead of some serial killer coming to snatch up dancers." Violet chuckled at Sam's comment and got her water bottle to take a sip out of. "Although... I don't know if the serial killer would even snatch you up. You're like my height in those heels.

Violet scoffed and walked closer to Sam. "More like 2 inches taller than you." Sam then pushed her which made her stumble and almost roll her ankle, but then Sam caught her. He locked eyes with her for a moment before she broke it.

"Dude I could've fallen and broken my ankles!"

Sam just brushed off the feeling he felt for Violet during that minute and replied, "Well, I didn't tell you to wear 5-inch heels."

"But you still pushed me!"

"But you would've caught yourself if you were wearing regular shoes." Violet rolled her eyes and shoved Sam.

"Well, I just wanted to show you something." Sam popped out a small black box with a ring in it.

Violet had a dead-serious look on her face. "Let do it. Let's go to Vegas and elope."

Sam was shocked and taken aback, "W-What?" Sam's mouth all the sudden became dry, and he stole Violet's water bottle and continued to drink out of it.

Violet then bursts out laughing so hard that she actually collapsed onto the floor. "I was kidding!"

Sam sighed in relief and waited for Violet to gain her composure. She had residual tears in her eyes and giggled every now and then, but she mostly had gained her composure, "Okay, so I'm assuming the ring is a promise ring for Quinn."

"Yes! I'm planning on giving this to her to show her that I'm committed and that I will be her faithful boyfriend with the intention of marrying her one day."

Violet further inspected the ring and would periodically look up at Sam. "Wow. That's deep. But, it's cute, and I think this really suits you and her. Just warning you though, she might freak out a little at first. She did almost get stuck with a life long commitment when she was just 16 so..."

"But?" Sam really wanted her to end on a good note just so his confidence will be high enough to ask her.

"But I think she'll love it."
