Restless mind, I can't shake this. Said I'm fine, but we both know I'm faking. I'm not feeling numb, I'm just feeling everything at once.

"Well, tough luck, Kurt. I'm single now," Violet persisted. A week has passed since Violet and Sam's break up.
As Violet expected, Sam went to Brittany for comfort, and the two seemingly became inseparable. Sam was reconciling the fact that maybe he does have feelings for Brittany while still trying to mourn his relationship with Violet.
He kept thinking that the breakup was just some horrible nightmare, but every day since the breakup, she's ignored him aside from whenever she directed him during rehearsals.
He wanted to see if there was any sliver of regret. Any sliver that she would take him back even though he royally messed up again, but her eyes were steely and they stayed that way.
Violet shut down.
She barely talked to anyone outside of Sectionals talk or talk about anything work-related. She still went to therapy, but her therapist told her that it was like she went 10 steps back from where she started. But Violet thought it was better this way. No emotions meant that she didn't have hurt more than she already did.
She didn't have to mourn the relationship she used to have with the love of her life. The one person in the world that understood her more than anyone in the world and loved her just as much.
Blaine was conflicted about what to do. He wanted to be there for both of his friends, but he also didn't want to break any of their trust. That was until Violet told him to look after Sam. Blaine wanted to protest, but Violet was stubborn. She claimed she was fine because she had Jake.
And she did. Only, Jake didn't talk about emotions with her, much to her relief. Instead, they just danced. He helped her workshop all of the dances, and he kept an eye on her to make sure that she was okay. Well, as okay as someone could be after breaking up with someone.
There were only a handful of people that Violet was willing to talk about this to, but all of them weren't in the state which was another moment of relief especially since she knew that this coming week when all the alumni returned, that she would be ambushed with questions.
The only person she had to tell over the phone was Kurt.
