It looks as though

"So I really don't think that either of them should be in a relationship, but Marley literally looks like someone curb-stomped a little bunny every time she sees Jake and Kitty together." Violet then looked down at Sam, lying down on her chest, who had a pensive look on his face. "Buttercup?"
"Hmm yeah yeah, they're both too young to be in a relationship."
Violet furrowed her eyebrows, "Are you okay? You look like you've been in your own world for a while there."
Sam just cleared his throat and shook his head, "No, yeah, I'm fine. I was just thinking about stuff."
"Well... do you want to tell me what kind of stuff?"
He chuckled and made an excuse, "I was just thinking about what Sectionals might look like this year. I mean since we don't have Finn anymore, you can choreograph some really cool stuff which means I'm gonna need a lot more help."
Violet started to run her fingers through his hair, "Well, I'll be happy to give you private lessons if you need it."
She then started to talk about her ideas for Sectionals to him, but she couldn't help but think about what he was really thinking about. Sam and Violet understood each other on a level that most people didn't, so when she saw him spacing out, she could just feel him pulling away.
It wasn't enough to be noticeable to a normal person, but Violet wasn't normal.
She has this fear that people will just abandon her. It wasn't necessarily an irrational fear either. Her first girlfriend abandoned her. To an extent, Santana abandoned her, and even her own mother abandoned her.
She was just afraid that the best thing that's ever happened to her would end up abandoning her as well.
But she had to trust that Sam wouldn't do that. She tried to trust that there wasn't something wrong with her, and maybe Sam didn't actually need to talk about something, and that's okay. The thing is, she wasn't sure if she was arguing against her own anxieties or her intuition.
The next morning, Violet was walking down the halls before she had to go to homeroom, and she encountered an overeager Blaine signing up for every club humanly possible.
"You do realize that just because you're the New Rachel does not mean you have to be apart of 10+ clubs like she was, right?" Violet mentioned jokingly which made Blaine whip around.
"Well, since Kurt isn't here anymore, I need to do other stuff that occupies my time," Blaine explained, but Violet knew what that really meant.
Violet nodded understandingly, "I get it."
