Promises and problems
were all left unsaid
Buried away at the back of my bed
Close my eyes but
every time I try to rest
It's hard to think clearly,
you live inside my head

After watching a documentary about global warming and climate change, Sam became extremely passionate about trying to reduce both his and Violet's carbon footprint. That's why Violet drove Sam to McKinley before she drove to the studio she was in the process of buying or at least that's what he originally told her.

Sam looked at her, "C'mon. You haven't stepped foot inside McKinley since graduation."

"And I think that's how it's supposed to be," Violet chuckled.

He joked, "What are you trying to say about me?"

She rolled her eyes, and then she admitted, "I don't want to accidentally run into Rachel."

"You're gonna have to see her sooner or later. Mr. Schue invited both of us to dinner, and she'll be there," he said sympathetically, squeezing her hand in comfort.

Violet sighed, "I know."

Sam tried to persuade her, "I bet Coach would love to see you again, and maybe you'll even see Kitty between classes. Remember how disappointed she was when she heard that I came here without you?"

She laughed slightly, "Vividly. She made you Facetime me on the spot."

"See? There are people here that you wanna see and that want to see you. You shouldn't let Rachel stop you from going to places you wanna go and seeing people you wanna see."

Violet gave him a brief kiss, and she smiled, "You're right."

He looked at her sheepishly, "I know."

So the couple walked into the school together, and Violet could automatically see and feel how much the school's changed. She knew that high school was draining for teens, but there was a significant shift compared to when she graduated not even 2 years ago.

Sam then looked at the time and quickly pressed a kiss to her temple, "I have to go get ready for my health class, but text me when you're leaving? And then tell me everything tonight?"

She giggled, "Of course. Now go!"

Sam gave her one last kiss before yelling that he loved her down the halls, running to his classroom. She giggled at his antics, and Violet couldn't believe how smitten she was with him even after all this time. She really didn't know how he could make her fall in love with him more and more each day.

After he was out of sight, Violet sighed, trying to think of what she should do first, and really, at that moment, she wanted to see the first adult that was ever there for her.
